The fan test is also a force eject. If ur disc gets stuck u do thin and the game ejects. It it doesnt work power off and do it again.

@HAHA818CHICKENWINGS Yes by all means open it up if you know what your doing.. I open mine up every 6 month to clean it out I have a ps3 slim now as my 40gig died on me do to lack of maintenance and care.. so keep it clean and safe and it will last a long time.

i heard vacuum screws everything up in the ps3 so im not taking any risk. ill just do a cleaning routine for it.

guys i have to tell you, Im getting a ps3 soon and I really don't want to break it, is there any other way of cleaning the ps3 from dust. I was just thinking of keeping it in a safe area where there isn't alot of dust. wouldn't that be better.

hey how come when i turn off the ps3 and then turn it off by switching it off at the back of the ps3, how come it makes like a quiet mosquito sound. can someone please help me out here i would really appreciate it

its cause there is still power going into ur system but it has nowhere to go so the ps3 gets rid of the excess power makin a weird noise (make sure u turn ur ps3 to stand by b4 turnig it off at the back or ait can brake the system)
