hey mate i want to practise your excercise just so i can understand a bit more ur playing A and going through the 7 mode e.g. A ionian, A dorian, A phygian etc is that right
Seems like a good warm up or endurance exercise, but not all that helpful for improving your improvisational skills. Suggestion: Worry about picking cleanly and muting unwanted strings before going for any amount of speed. 60 bpm might be a good starting point.
Man if you made a powertab worksheet for this (doesn't have to be for every key just starting on A or something) mannn that would help so much.

well what is the point of this exersice to learn the modes?
freddy692000 1 year ago
when i saw the title i knew it was going to be the major scale/ modes in all 12 keys, technically your only playing 7 scales/modes
ibanezxiphos700 1 year ago
@ibanezxiphos700 Alright, so it would more accurately be called "84 Scale Patterns in 6 minutes"
longestsoloever 1 year ago
@longestsoloever
no it would be more accurate to say 7 scale patterns in 6 minutes. there is only 7 patterns not 84.

@longestsoloever Are you aware of how helpful a tab would be? haha.
