looks absolute crap might as well play the original arcade version (at least lack of technology is a good enough reason for such a fundamentally dull game) this version has no excuse.

Yes they should. If the technology was around when the original was made it would have been like the pc battlezones not like this one this ones just rubbish.
@ArmoredCoreRaven Wasn't the very first Battlezone made for PC though? and then they probably made some arcade games soon after? I have a lack of knowledge on the subject and would like to know. :P

I agree, I played right thru Battlezones I and II (1998 and 1999) check out the BattleZone 2 vids on YT, awesome, much better than this down and out shooter, its short too.
This game looks like its quite cramped in a small arena type map, all the PC BZs are widespread and great for it.
I wish they'd do a BZ3 on PC with up to date visuals, the same command and control styles, and floating tanks.
lol this is the ONLY psp game in the world that is region locked (not region free)
