  • timeless.

  • sssssssssssssssss Soulful Lady;

  • I could listen to her for hours. She isn't going to do any shows out here in the sticks of California, so I have to enjoy Melody via you tube. What a gem.

  • Why not make this available to us with mobile devices?

  • woooops, just had an eargasm.

  • lmao @ the one that disliked this video you are lame

  • she sounds a little bit like adele

  • Wonderful stuff !!! Thanks ...

  • i will comfort you Melody.. i will

  • This version is SOOOOOO much better than the version on Letterman. I thought the Paul Shaffer band was supposed to be good, but they truly sucked when backing up Melody on this song, on Letterman.

  • @Bunnies4wool The last time Paul Shaffer or any of his zombies had a feeling while playing music was when they were maybe 12 and dreamed of being fat, old, rich, complacent whores and sell-outs.

  • @gormarx Amazingly ignorant statement. Ask any musician how good that band is, especially Will Lee and Anton fig.

  • @fretbuzz59 Given that I am a musician who's been playing those "complex" rhythms and Eastern scales since I was maybe 11 (only the real deal, not the kiddie versions they try to do), I can tell YOU and all your "musicians" that they are a bunch of half-assed charlatans, so your ignorance is in fact amazing because there are obviously WORLDS of levels of musicianship you don't even know exist out there. You decide whether you will try to fix it and perhaps form your own educated opinion.

  • @gormarx Listen you arrogant twit, you're talking out your ass. For one, you have no idea what levels of musicianship I am familiar with. And whether you like Shaffer's band as a unit, anyone arguing against the backbone of Lee & Fig is an idiot. Will Lee was playing w/the Breckers in his mid 20s, for Christ's sake. Doesn't get higher than that. Now go back to jerking off w/those complex rhythms & scales.

  • @fretbuzz59 I can see what levels you're NOT even aware of, that's for damn sure. You're one of those "I'm a dumb asshole and damn proud of it" degenerates, a "my stupidity is as good as, or better than, other's knowledge" kind of cretin not worthy of my time, gotcha. Go buy American or watch NASCAR or something, and see if you can learn to find America on the map in the next 10-15 years, retard. Do fuck off back to your Deliveranceville, please.

  • @gormarx "I can see what levels you're NOT even aware of" Yeah? Like what? And NASCAR? Really? You think I'm some Appalachian yahoo who watches NASCAR? Your powers of perception are uncanny. lol The more you say, the deeper in you get.

  • @fretbuzz59 Exactly the picture you paint with your idiocy. I never asked your worthless opinion, and if I wanted one based on your 1/16" wide perspective, I'd fart. You came with your ignorance and stupidity and attacked me, which tells a LOT about your true Deliverance nature, hick. If you spent as much energy learning about the big wide world you have no clue about as you spend assaulting others' knowledge with your stupidity, your IQ might even reach 70 one day. Fuck off or I'll block you.

  • @gormarx You didn't ask for my opinion any more than the guy who mentioned Paul Shaffer asked for yours. Typically, the guys making the biggest proclamations on their own knowledge & experience, & in their characterizations of others can't actually back up anything. I asked for an example of the "levels" I'm supposedly unaware of. Your reply: zilch.

  • @fretbuzz59 Man, you're pathetic.

  • @gormarx I'm pathetic. Yet you're unable to substantiate anything you say.

  • @Bunnies4wool That wasn't the Letterman band, it was her own band.

  • @fretbuzz59 Geez, I went back and checked. You are right, It WAS her own band. Man they were not up to the other performance that day. It wasn't just mixing either, they were not in sync (or counter-syncopation, as it were). I think she was trying to lead them by stomping her foot, but she couldn't get them completely in time.

  • @Bunnies4wool Actually, once they got going, it was ok. But they had trouble locking in at first. Maybe the gtr player had trouble hearing. Who knows? Her time w/her foot wasn't too good, either--ahead of the beat. She wasn't trying to lead them w/her foot though; that was just for effect, as the close-up of her foot w/the mic indicates.

  • So sad that this is not mainstream. The reason it's not is because it's actual talent and a real voice! Plus there are not many Jazz stations out are there? Radio sucks!

  • Stifler's Mom?

  • Melody Gardot is a wonderful young jazz singer, who survived a near fatal hit & run bicycle accident, when she was 19. She overcame her serious injuries by seeking comfort in music.

  • :) tetszik....

  • this woman is incredible..........

  • 1 person will not comfort her

  • IIIIII LOVEEEEEEEEEEE YOUUUUUUUUUUUU MELODDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY DONT U STOP SINGING

  • @6666musiclover The funny thing is I usually listen to heavy metal and she's even gotten me into smooth jazz :) Sad thing is I can't find anyone else quite like her in her style and voice.

    perfect

  • Justin Bieber and Grayson Chance and many other "Artists" are killing the art that is music, it's just good to see and I'm happy to hear someone who is keeping the meaning of music alive.

  • @Canadianvoice Here, Here! she is one of my top 5 artists along with Regina Spektor, Feist, Laura Marling and KT Tunstall

  • She´s so amazing! I totally love and adore her.

And I love the fact that it says ROSA MANNEN in the beginning of the movie, in norwegian that means "The pink man" haha

  • Awesome, Pure Excellence!

  • Classy, sophisticated, and gorgeous - not to mention more talent than should be allowed for one person. She is miraculous; from what she had to overcome to becoming this kind of a masterful musician is just mindblowing. She's my new favorite musician (and person) right now! I just love her...

  • She is the real deal!

  • Can she BE KUUU-LER?

  • Fabulous. Anyone know the chords she's playing?

  • her shoes kill just as much as her voice, haha.

  • Love her !

  • Melody is gr8 in her simplicity but i feel too much control though

  • Reminds me of Peggy Lee in voice and delivery. Very nice.
