There are no benefits for travelling people because they are not part of the culture which they are surrounded by. Alienating themselves from our culture is exactly why tensions are caused because they fail to integrate.
The culture or what is left of it has deminished to a great extent. Now the land they inhabit is either protected wildland state reserve or national park, which by law cannot be fouled. Either that or it is land owned by a business or Land owner who has a right by law to remove by force if necessary anyone tresspassing on the land. Either way by common law of the land and for freemen and women of the land , they cannot reside on the land without permission or paying land tax.
I think what the Gypsy culture fails to grasp is that , they are no longer small nomadic tribes wandering the deserts and forests of Eurasia or the African continnent . The world in the 21st century is alot smaller. To claim outright that they are a travelling nomadic people is a falsehood in itself .
