Same thing happens with me, I've used 3 copies. I blow it up, and then it just freezes on me and no matter how many times I re-do it, I never move on.
The first GRAW didn't give me the achievement for beating the last level either. Stupid GRAW games

MP468 is better than what you're using, it can shoot as far as any other rifle with full auto than the others can with single shot.
