Greece and Macedonia both seem to me as being squashed by the weight of their history/ies. From and outsider point of view, I find it sad that people debate so much about it... be wary of people that think too much... they end up blind. The problem seems to come from the definition of nation-state. To each nation a state... Between a mondial government and the small nation-state, I think there is room for a new political entity, based on the shared cultural background...

@Jeffanos whatever their origins, I personnaly believe it is the current political identity that matters when you decide what kind of international character you wish to represent. Nobody should tell somebody else who they are. You can argue about it, but never to the extent of violently imposing your views. Now if there are Macedonians who identify themselves as Greek, it is their job to make it happen democratically.

That is, of course, a personal opinion.
