Yes, these are called "innerconnected". These smoke detectors are wired to each other through the home's electricity so that when one goes off they all go off simultaneously.

All are interconnected (hardwire through the house's electricity)

I was aiming for the vents. I didn't want to spray it directly on the front because apparently from being educated on our large and vibrant YouTube Fire Alarm Community that spray leaves a light residue.
