the southlake team that played miami northwestern wasn't a weak squad just plagued with injuries Miami was insane athleticly and deserved the win no doubt. Southlake lost 2/5 starting o-line man before this game was played Matt Boyles with a torn achilles heel and Nick Leppo with a torn ACL both of whom were D1 recruits and had high expectations. also tommy avers played corner a position which he never played from RB and covered the best reciever in the country poor coaching

I lived in Florida and Texas. Both states speed is about the same. Florida has more of that football speed. But Texas trumps it in that track speed. Neither are greater than the other. People need to at least take a vacation in other places or at least do research (not necessarily to you).

I know this is an old topic,but that Southlake team was the worst team in about 5years, they won state the 3 previous years but when they played Miami they didnt even make it to the Texas State semi's. So comparing the best team in Florida (who only won by 1 touchdown) to Southlake that year is not an accurate barometer of Fl. vs. TX. Plus, I'm pretty sure that the Miami team brings in players from around the area like a college team recruiting the best talent but teams in Texas cant do that.
