Normally I like TB's style of play in games, but I would hate being around him playing BF as a medic. Almost never does he kill the attacker before reviving a dead guy. Honestly, TB, that's how the 12 year olds play to get tons of exp and it annoys the hell out of people to be killed immediately as you try to orient yourself after a revive. Kill, then revive.

one thing about games thats always consistent regardless of technology (at least starting with the SNES) was story.

the game with one of the best Stories was Suikoden 2 for instance (PS1), i haven't seen many games with a story as unpredictable, brutal, and yet filled with hope as it, also some of the story about characters not in the game is amazing, not only is it surprisingly different then other JRPG story-lines, its rather different period.

At the time of release it was more widely appealing than EQ because of it's visuals which drew in gamers who otherwise snubbed EQ solely due to graphics. Starcraft is more balanced than Starcraft 2 so even if you want to go down that train of thought you are wrong, SC2 is far from the most balanced RTS ever though. D3 anticipated? If you want bots clogging up AH's and dungeon crawl fun reblanced for Arena PvP. Blizzard is shit. Good video TB.

I personally am buying TOR off Amazon and will probably be getting GW2 as well. I really don't mind about the latency issue as long as we DO get an option to transfer to something closer than a US/EU server. It did, to put it bluntly, piss me off when EA/Bioware said there was no AU release but after I found out I could get it off Amazon it eased the pain. I entirely agree that we get screwed over, and I hope (along with many) that things improve soon. Thanks for your support TB. <3 from AUS.

It think that no matter how hard you try, nostalgia will always colour your perception of a game, but you should never be stuck in the past and let it stop your enjoyment of newer stuff. For example, the old Tomb Raider games were amazing. Fun, challenging and still worth playing even now. On the other hand the modern Crystal Dynamics games don't hold a candle to them, but they're still fun games in their own right. They should be enjoyed for what they are and not hated for what they should be.

In all seriousness, I think its a very valid point about resources available for a game. When I first played WoW I didnt use Wowhead, Wowwiki, Thottbot etc, I didn't really understand stats etc, but the sense of adventure when entering a new area was fantastic.

Likewise the first playthrough of the original pokemon games was awesome, wading in the long grass and having no idea what new exciting pokemon was going to appear.
