Is that better than spirit gum? Because I find that spirit gum doesnt really dry even with the powder and everything.

It is extremely easier. If you use a small spatula or tongue depressor and put it in warm to hot water, you can manipulate the glue and help smooth it down as I did. It gets tacky & dries very quickly so smooth it on fast.
