This vid is correct, but then its not. He's talking about arpeggiated chords, not really arpeggios in the sense that a Jazz player may use them.

Yes, its chord tones but simply strumming the individual notes of an open C chord doesnt really constitute arpeggios.

I'm having trouple picking arpeggio in chun-ta (slowest) metre and learning some Mariachi songs. I keep falling behind so then I just begin strumming. I guess I'll muddle through it. But your video was excellent, I just don't know how to speed up.

Well, the video got its point across; that is what an arpeggio is.

Only things I find wrong are, the A string is a little out of tune, and there's too much tension in his right hand while picking--Any new guitar players, just be aware that your picking should be much more fluid than this video shows.

Well, it's not really like the chord doesn't exist... There are almost no chords that don't exist. The name he gives to the chord is wrong.

GaddB doesn't make sense because the B is already in the scale of the major triad. You're not adding anything that's outside of the normal major triad.

In fact, if you omit the sixth and the first string, you're still playing a complete G major chord, just with a B in bass.
