my palm treo pro is now really slow and the touch screen doesnt always work...(works intermitantly inconsistantly) to casually put it.. this is truly a crap unit and am putting it aside for an iPhone. Very suprised that such a big name produced such a failure.

Do Not Buy This!! I have had this phone for around 6 months for general personal and business use. I thought I was buying a great phone/organiser and always backed it up when I heard a bad review. This unit is truly a disappointment and I'm experiencing problems mentioned in reviews. He lives, obviously, in the UK. In the UK people buy phones, and the phones aren't assigned to specific carriers like the US. So, let's just say there was T-Mobile there, if he was with T-Mobile, he would have a sim card, but let's say he switched to a different company. He would just take out the sim card and get the one assigned to the diff. carrier. It's so simple there. I wish it was like that in the US.

uh. i think its unlocked to run on any carrier actually.. well any gsm carrier.... so in the US t-mobile and AT&T would do. but if you use it on t-mobile, i think (i said think lol) you cant use the 3G network. but i hear the 3G works fine with AT&T

Yeah the iphone/ipod designer was hired by Palm for this and a future project. I'm torn because I love Treos had a 600, 650, and now 755p and I dunno how to fell about Windows MObile but I love the new Crackberry Storm!! and the G-Phone from HTC is going to be an open platform so new skins backgrounds all sorts of neat programs will be written by the open source community.
