Der unbeschrittene Weg Zwei Wege trennten sich im herbstlichen Wald, und leider konnte ich nicht beide beschreiten, da ich doch nur einer war; lange machte ich Halt und sah so weit es ging dem einen nach, bis er im Unterholz verschwand. One of my favourit English poems. A few days ago I transfered it into my mother-tongue German. Maybe some of you can understand it. It is in my next comment on this video.
I remember having to memorize a Frost poem in high school. It wasn't more than just another task to do and I didn't comprehend the brilliance of the words I committed to memory. A few of these comments seem to echo my experience. It's such a shame. Frost is nothing short of genius, and I realize that now. Not enough good poetry gets truly absorbed by the youth these days :(
