This is a very interesting and helpful vid, thanks. Whilst there are some other great OB vids out there, I don't think I've heard anyone else give the explicit advice of overblowing softly, which I only just fell upon by accident after months of tinny and squeaky frustration. Thanks from the UK, Mark
Okay, I have to agree on the talk, talk, talk. You talk for 3 MINUTES and 11 seconds before you raise the harp to your mouth. In your next video you should be able to demonstrate the actual technique within 20 to 30 seconds of the start of the video. But thanks for the first effort.
Man i have all lee oskars! and 2 marine bands, it is easier on a marine band, but man, i payed por all those and ima use them like god intended! , thanks from mexico man, you rock!
very nice overblow. the bend is awesome. i hate when the harp is squeeking like that. The worst is the six overblow on a c harp. it makes your teeth fall out.
What I noticed when you are learning how to overblow (and i am really just starting to) is taht it is very useful to have several harps of different brands. On some it is easy on others it doesnt work at all.
dude, this and the companion video are perfect for right now. i've recently been really digging the lee oskar tone (something i wouldn't have said a year ago) for my low harps, but i've never been able to get very good overblows out of them. thanks man
thanks

Im learnin to play blues harp should i get a hohner special 20 or a lee sokar major diatonic?
SoloBen247 3 years ago
they're both good bets. I was wondering which one was better, but if I had to choose, I might say the special 20
