@melloyellowblue1 Generally, universities require you to live in an on-campus dorm your first year or two. There are also different dorm room set-ups to request for. And usually, you're forbidden from moving furniture. Prices will range from college to college, as well as the type of dorm you have. You can request to live in a single (by yourself) or to live in a suite which often comes with a separate kitchenette room.
I just have a couple questions. First of all, I wanna say I'm in 7th grade, so I'm just seeing if I'll have enough money(and time, and effort, and whatever) to live in an on campus apartment, or if I should live in a dorm.
Question 1: How are the beds? Are they nice or uncomfortable?
Question 2: Are all the bills paid for a dorm? Or do I have to pay them myself?
Question 3: Do you get a lot of time in your dorm? Does it take a long time to get anywhere?
When I was a little kid, i thought it was called Prince-Tom. I always asked my parents, WHO IS PRINCE TOM!? Now i go to cornell, pretty sweet, but princeton still has a nicer campus i guess. Both of them are pretty cool schools for my major (Mechanical engineering)
In a couple of years i'll be there for sure! Don't care what it'll take for them to admit me to their PhD course in economics but i won't give them the option not to! I'll study 24/7 if that's what it takes but i'll definitely get there!
F. Scott Fitzgerald went to Princeton. That's all the motivation I need. But then again, I think I like Yale a little bit more. Despite the fact that my chances of getting accepted to an Ivy League university are slim to none, I think I might try my luck at a few anyway.
wow its a big difference between these prestigous universities compared to my school.. i have always dreamed about going to this school.. but i would love to visit one day at least lol.... but i love it tho
LOL, I had my own private room at Brigham Young Univeristy in a tower overlooking the university, the Wasatch mountains, and Utah Lake. Had three all-you-can-eat meals at the Morris Center and free linen service. All I paid for all this was $2,300 hundred dollars a year for room and board. The most I paid for tuition each year was $850 per semester back in 1989. Tuition is about $3,000 per semester now. Still an unbelievavble bargin!

Questions (Continued)
Question 4: Is it easy to hear outside noises? I get distracted by noises, so yeah.
Question 5: Is there a lot of room to move around in the dorms? Or is it really cramped and stuffy?
Question 6: How far away are the dorms compared to the rest of the campus?
Question 7: Is there kitchens in the dorms? I love to cook...
Yeah, I think that's it! Thanks so much!
