REALLY? How many of us wear the traditional Gikuyu garments in Kenya? How many of us sport the traditional Maasai attire? Or the Luhya dance skirts? Then we are the same people who will accuse our foreign friends of "ignorance" when we are perpetuating archaic perceptions ourselves. Let's get real--that's how our grandparents lived. Furthermore, while particular aspects of these practices remain, the above reporting misleads the viewer into thinking that this is contemporary Kenyan culture.
That food jameni! Could almost taste it from here. Reporter seems to be Sorious Samura's half brother ama? Good to see Kenyans celebrating and preserving their culture in this Britney Spears Wocka Wocka Flame P diddy Lindsay Lohan cultural abyss called America!!
Everyone here is presenting their roots...all of them as KENYANS!!! Politicians at home should watch this and stop seperating people back at home....and those commenting negatively here. ... stop being so petty!
These people critisizing Kenyans Newscasters and their accents are a pathetic lot. Do you think you sound any better just coz you live in the US and have adopted a stupid illiterate ghetto accent that you come across while working cleaning shit in the nursing homes. Go NTV newscasters you are doing a great job.
the sad thing is kenyans realise abroad how other nations value their culture back home is no culture only the jerusalem religion and mzungu names, goodmorning

@trishasinger@bn7613 - This is actually a voice over meaning that it wasn't recorded along with the video but added in later hence the distortion. I have no problem understanding the speaker's accent at all - it actually evokes a lot of nostalgia if you will . Only that there's a lot of ambient noise probably caused by a low quality mic.
is this how Kenyans behave in Nairobi?
