Just so you know, not only is it FAR more complicated than that, the U.S.Govt. reserves the right to both 1. Refuse to let you renounce your citizenship, and 2. Can both physically prevent you from leaving the country (think armed police), and can prosecute you for failure to pay taxes to the U.S. even after leaving and renouncing your citizenship for up to 12 years.

In the dream, I remember looking up at the sky and thinking it was so WIDE and BIG and CLEAR and BLUE. I had never heard of a place called Montana. But that dream - I never forgot it.
As I grew up, I learned there was a place in America called Montana, but it was only when I came here in 2002, that I found out it was called BIG SKY country. I am still amazed! (*_*)

I had two other such dreams as a kid. One related to my wedding day. I only remembered that dream when I saw the wedding pics. One pic stood out, because in that dream, I was standing with my brides-maid in my grand-parents' garden - her name was Angela - as it had been in the dream. I am not a "dreamy" person - funny how two of my childhood dreams played out in real life..YEARS LATER. Maybe I will find myself in Montana one day.

I don't know if I could call it luck, I really wasn't as interested in her as I was Curious about her life in Guyana and that part of the world. @akahallen Well, take it from me, she would not have had a choice. Here's how it works. You would have paid $70 a pop for each and ALL childhood innoculations, whether she'd had them previously, or not. I think the AIDS test is free, but could stand corrected on that. You have to have two of them over a period of time. If you come from Africa (black or white), the blood donor banks will NOT accept you as a donor until you have been in this country for FIVE years. They don't do tests.

@Afrikitty I've been aware of several scams. She claimed she had money from her deceased Dad's estate, and her Mom was a tribe elder, so I don't think she was going to take the pity route. She'd never got an invitation whatever she was up to, but asking her questions can't hurt.

Can both physically prevent you from leaving the country (think armed police), and can prosecute you for failure to pay taxes to the U.S. even after leaving and renouncing your citizenship for up to 12 years.

In the dream, I remember looking up at the sky and thinking it was so WIDE and BIG and CLEAR and BLUE. I had never heard of a place called Montana. But that dream - I never forgot it.
As I grew up, I learned there was a place in America called Montana, but it was only when I came here in 2002, that I found out it was called BIG SKY country. I am still amazed! (*_*)

That was what broke the camels back, then by me telling her outright, she'd have to be tested. I figured I'd get to the root of evil in a hurry. @akahallen Well, take it from me, she would not have had a choice. Here's how it works. You would have paid $70 a pop for each and ALL childhood innoculations, whether she'd had them previously, or not. I think the AIDS test is free, but could stand corrected on that. You have to have two of them over a period of time. If you come from Africa (black or white), the blood donor banks will NOT accept you as a donor until you have been in this country for FIVE years. They don't do tests.

@Afrikitty I've no doubt you'd know first hand. I had a pretty good hunch the US wasn't going to let anyone from Africa immigrate without a thorough screening with the AIDS being at epidemic proportions there.
I've been through the Littleton area many times, driving truck over the road. I was retired from the Army at Ft Carson in 2005. Way to many people there for my liking!

@akahallen There are many other African scams - specifically the Nigerian 491-er scams. These are no longer confined to Nigeria and operatives are now operating INSIDE the USA. I can't tell you how many Americans that I KNOW, have fallen prey to these scams. I should make a video on this issue, but anyway, it looks as though you might have been caught in one of the offshoots. It all works on an appeal to pity - and they are GOOD at it. God was gracious to you. (*_*) I would thank Him!

@Afrikitty I've been aware of several scams. She claimed she had money from her deceased Dad's estate, and her Mom was a tribe elder, so I don't think she was going to take the pity route. She'd never got an invitation whatever she was up to, but asking her questions can't hurt.
My 2nd wife was an American, we were married 4 yrs, left me for a month after 2yrs, came back for 2 more, long enough she thought she could get half of everything. She didn't, that's when God was gracious.
