I have somewhere a recording of something called the Faust Tapes - a sort of out-takes album from 1973 or thereabouts. The geezer who put me on to it said it was pretty ropey, but what a way to be ropey - a true set of moodswings mingling mellow yet soothing sharp in the old cranium via the lug holes. Brilliant disjointed stuff.

@julesthemadman great album. they had a clever release ploy, which, if memory serves, was to put it out on virgin at 49p an album. Got Virgin more recognition than Faust in the end I think. But anyway, yeh, The Faust Tapes is a personal fav of mine!
