  • Wow! The colors are very bright and attractive!

    Mariana Erwin

  • someday you should actually take the tape off in the video -__-

  • @13raiderr I show how to remove it in my taping video - under the tips & tricks playlist =)

  • so pretty i have to try!!

  • Where did you buy the color mate polish? I think you mentioned the name of the store, but i didn't really catch it, sorry!

  • @Number1ChoChangFan I think I got them at dollar tree =)

  • I tried this and it's amazing!!

  • This one has to be my favorite out of all your water marbles.

  • how did you discover water marble?? im so curious and if u remember, i said i would send u a video of my nails well i 4got about it then i took my nail polish off lol

  • @SarahLuvsEveryOne I read about marbling on several blogs before I started doing it myself =)

  • Does Water Marbelling cost much of the Nailpolish ??

  • @Kesandra100 it does use more than a normal manicure, but it's worth it =) & I have plenty to spare LOL - but if you are concerned, depending on the design you are going for you can dip 2 or 3 fingers at a time to save polish, also some designs use fewer drops

  • @simplelittlepleasues can u please tell me how much ur nailpolish costs the ones from china glaze cus I cant afford expensive nail polish

  • @MsHamburgerpizza it varies depending on where you buy it =) as low as $3 online but then you will pay shipping, up to in some stores $7 or 8

  • Your nails come out really pretty!! Whenever I try water marbling, it comes out really bad. When I pull my nail out, the nailpolish would be literally dripping off my nail. Do you have any idea why this might happen?

  • @Tanyamomin786 I think it sounds like you are using a little too much polish - try using a few less drops. The layer in the water should be very thin & shouldn't have a problem sticking to your nail as long as you are using a base color & that’s completely dry =)

  • *different

  • When I tried using the same colors, it turned out differently, should I try a diffetent technique

  • @ivydg96818 different how? The design isgoing to depend on practice & how you draw it - also are you using room temperature filtered water?

  • It would be a hell of a lot easier to get rid of excess polish In the water if you just blow the surface once or twice x

  • what water do i use

  • @fluffycutie1 room temperature filtered water

  • Your polishes seem thin are they really thin?

  • @BrigitteClare2525 not really, about average I would say =)

  • you are so good at making the bullseye! I tried, mine looked funny. Is there a trick??

  • @cinnabear767 part is using filtered water & a smaller cup, the rest is just finding the best polish that spreads well =)

  • what colors are best for water marbling pleases respond

  • @datboicudsang There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well – the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • This is pretty♥♥

  • this is sooooooooooooooooo cooooooool

  • Hey! When we do water marbling, are we wasting nail polish in comparison to just painting ur nails normally or is it like the same as just normally painting ur nails?

  • @omnomcuttherope it does use more than a normal manicure, but it's worth it =) & I have plenty to spare LOL - but if you are concerned, depending on the design you are going for you can dip 2 or 3 fingers at a time to save polish, also some designs use fewer drops

  • do your nails have to be long for water marbleing

  • @sweetgirlcandy100 no - if you have short nails you just get less of the design =)

  • you should do a nail polish collection video. just give us an overview of your nail polishes(:

  • @abigailrss There are some pics on my blog =) I don’t know when I’ll get to a vid

  • These colors look great on your skin tone

  • What colors are you using? I love the gold. Thanks

  • @shpgr1977 they're all listed in the information box =)

  • wow they're B E A U T I F U L

  • ...I did the petal thing, but I was using green, purple and silver. accidental pot leaf :P 1:45

  • how big does you cup have to be?? please reply thanks -Joanna

  • @7890joanna mine is 5 oz =)

  • Those hands are scarryyy

  • you use a bag in most of your videos.. do you buys those or do make them? do you think you can upload a video to make them if you do? thank you! love your videos!!

  • @TheBlahShow12 do you mean around my nails? It’s just tape – you can check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • Do you have fake nails on

  • @XxkudlockxX no, my nails are natural =)

  • I am really mad because I tried the water marble and my polish did not spread out at ALL!! not at all like in the videos.

  • @biebsfan31 Are you using filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • Loveeeeeee!!!!!!

  • haai

jij bent egt goed in dit man

(you are realy good at this!)

  • I think this is really pretty and when i try to do water marbeling it never eorks i put my finger in and when i pull it out tge nail polish is all gloopy and griss any tips i could try ?

  • @XOXMakeupForeverXOX I think it sounds like you are using a little too much polish - try using a few less drops. The layer in the water should be very thin =)

  • Hi colette! Your tutorials are amazing, I just started water marbling, and does one brand of polish work best for that? Please reply! [:

  • @Emiily473 There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • I love your work

  • How many nail polishes do you have? haha I think your work is awesome

  • @chocolateturtl17 over 1300 bottles =)

  • Would you consider doing nails for... a price?

  • @ilovepilsner I guess I wouldn't completely rule it out, it's just not something I normally do =)

  • I love spring fling, its a like a gold-ish type color, I just got it today and used it on my nails it looks awesome :)

  • do u use cold or hot water????????????????????

  • @hannahevin55 room temperature filtered water =)

  • i have noticed that thin nail polish works better with water marbling and thick polish doesnt work that well it just floats to the bottom of the cup. Do u have any suggestions so i could use thick nail polish????? thanks!! btw ur videos r soo awesome!

  • @hannahevin55 try to stay as close to the surface as possible when you let it drip =)

  • first off, i just wanted to say; ive just attempted to do this technique and it didn't really work out for me, its kinda frustrating how some of my nail polishes work and others don't, do you know how to find the better polishes for this??

whats ur advice on brands and such?

  • @islandloverforever There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • could you try a purple and green combo please??.

and do you think using warm water will help the polish spread better?.

  • @Maddy32509 I'll add those colors to my request list =) I've never tried warm water, I think it would be too hard to maintain the temp for the whole manicure

  • @lovepeaceme99 check out the taping tutorial under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see how I apply it =)

  • nice combo

  • First off I have to say I love your videos. One question I have, which I'm sure you may have heard before but how do you test out your colors for marbling do you practice on one nail first and just keep removing the polish till you get it right? I've tried some different color combos and they don't look the same marbled as they do in the bottle. Also how do you decide what color to do for the base I noticed sometimes you use white and sometimes a color your marbling with?

  • @beyondtherabbithole I do experiment with colors & base colors, but not actually on my nails- just on a folded piece of paper =)

  • Water we supposed to do with all this information, start our own nail art business?

    Water you, crazy?

  • @cvg1099 well I suppose you could if you wanted but really it's so you can do your own nails instead of go to a salon & pay someone else to do it =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Cool, thanks. Water you working on next?

  • @cvg1099 I have a comparison of crackle polishes to edit =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Awesome! Water you waiting for!?

  • @cvg1099 free time LOL - I work full time & have a lot to do on the weekend - it is posted up now though =)

  • I did a similar water marble like this today :) I used Sally Hansen Yellow Kitty with O.P.I Guy meets gal-veston :) An amazing combination with summery bright colours =)

  • Can u use a toothpick in place of an Orange Stick? If not then where can u get 1? Please answer!!

  • @KykylovesJB you can use anything with a fine point =) orange sticks are available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers

  • Do you really need an "Orange Stick" ? I really like the colours ;)

  • @Maytjjx you can use anything with a fine point =)

  • Thank U For Answering My Question! But Now I Have Another. Are there certain types of nail polish that I should use to get this type of effect?

  • @Nachole14 it's just normal polish, but not every color works =) there really isn't a best brand or anything, it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the best ones

  • Love the colors! :) i dont have those polishes, so r u just using a gold, orange and a pink? :)

  • @janitajasmin even colors that look very similar can be different in the water - I always experiment before I start to find the ones that work best =)

  • What is the tutorial with your mom called?

  • @MultiTinaDavis34 I think, "water marble on short nails, white blue & brown" or something like that =)

  • Where Can Jhu Find An "Orange Stick" ?

  • @CandyPeaceLove1 They’re available most places that sell polish, usually stocked near the files & clippers =)

  • You are my inspiration!

  • Ok thank you:)

By the way, can you do a tutorial on a cute way to do short nails?

  • @MultiTinaDavis34 I do have one marble with my mom as hand model, but I don't think I'll ever do very many since my own are always long =)

  • Would you recommend water marbling for really short nails? By the way I love your videos:)

  • @MultiTinaDavis34 sure - if you have short nails you just get less of the design =)

  • I tried to do this for my birthday the other night but with all pinky type colours and a silver and none of the polishes like spread out in the cup, the drop just stayed there if tht makes sense and all the polishes are different brands. :(

  • @ronnikinz Are you using filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues No I wasn't using filtered water, just normal tap water... i'll keep trying. Thanks x

  • im sorry this may be a very slow question but what is the orange stick and also is that the only thing that you can use

  • @candilovs4u1 An orange stick is a wooden manicure tool, basically a long pointy stick like a big toothpick =) You can use anything with a fine point that you don't mind getting polish on.

  • it is special nail polish? or i can use another nail polish?

  • @Jekaterina777 it's just normal polish, although not every color works =)

  • Can more than one nail be placed in at a time?

  • @JSJ032 yes, I show dipping multiple fingers in some of my other vids =)

  • Is it possible to do this technique with glitter or holographic polish?

  • @JSJ032 I've had good luck with holos, not so much with glitters =)

  • What's the name of the colors and brand you used on this clip?

  • @elvimtz they're listed in the information box =)

  • This is one of my favorite Water Marble Nail Art. perfect colors, great look, perfect for summer.

  • Are those ur real nails?

  • @tdotmiss yes, my nails are natural =)

  • simply stunning colours and pattern :) you must never have had a stupid question like this before lol but is an orange stick a lot better then a toothpick and if so why and any chance you know where i can get one online (the netherlands are terrible to find cool nailart stuff)

  • @GreenEnvyDesigns I prefer an orange stick over a toothpick mainly because it's bigger & easier to hold & eaiser to do the clean up with =) But I've never ordered them online so I'm not sure of anywhere to recommend.

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Can you dip 2 finger at a time??

  • @steffy000 yes, it all depends on the design you're doing =)

  • You should do a lotus inspired look. I love how you pulled the points of out the polish before you dipped your nail. :) It just reminded me of a lotus.

  • @gangsteroflove6 I do have a whole flower-inspired series coming up, I will add lotus to the list =)

  • what type of cup is ideal ?

  • @xfoureyedbeauty I use a 5 oz disposable paper cup =)

  • Hi Colette, this is one of your better designs. I will have to try this one. Thanx, Michele

  • is that normal water ? water from the tap ?

  • @EXCLUSiiiiiVE it's room temperature filtered water =)

  • @chocolatefrosting87 I get most of my China Glaze from Sallys or Ulta, an occassionally online =)

  • I have a q since you really are THE marble queen!! I always use lip balm instead of tape, its just seems easier. Why do you prefer tape? Why do you feel that taping the finger is the better option?

    Thanks!

  • @vixenportia It's on my to-do list to do a comparison between taping & lotion or vaseline/chapstick, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. A few viewers have told me though that they can leave a residue in the water that makes it harder to do the next designs, which is why I've stuck with tape so far =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues Yay, cant wait for that tut. I am subbed so I will just sit back and wait patiently. Thanks.

  • Such great work!!! Have you even done a marble design on your toe nails?

  • @peaceluv1979 I haven't myself, I prefer just a solid color on my toes, but I've had a few viewers tell me they did it successfull =)

  • those colours are so beautiful together!!

  • Could you do a water marble tutorial with a tiger lilly design?

  • @pinksinful one of my ideas is to do a flower series the way I've been doing the Addicted to Color series, and tiger lily is definitely on the list =)

  • I LOVE THIS ONE ALOT! i have discovered that LA Colors brand works pretty well. i got 6 of them for a buck a piece and they look amazing together

  • as im watching the tutorial my 5yo daughter was standing next to me saying"wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww pretty"lol...so now here we go going through all of your marbling tuorials...i love it 8^)

  • these colors are so beautiful. i will give this technique a try. I wonder have you ever used color changing polish? i have some from del son brand i think i will try this using it. have a great week!

  • @felinaluvu I don't have that brand, but I do have a water marble done with Claire's mood polish that changes color depending on the temperature =)

  • i''l definitely will follow your blog too.

btw i recently got into make-up blogging. mine is arummmanis.blogspot.com

  • wow! i'll definitely try this method to paint my nails in this coming summer holiday.

  • I always love watching your water marble tutorials :3 I'm always afraid to try though because I feel like they use a lot of polish ;0;

  • @epikINSANITY it does use more than a normal manicure, but it's worth it =) & I have plenty to spare LOL - but if you are concerned, depending on the design you are going for you can dip 2 or 3 fingers at a time to save polish, also some designs use fewer drops

  • so how does this work if your doing this on a customer?

im sure some peole would be like

"wat the hell are u dipping my finger in a cup for?"

    right??

  • @lynetteissoawsome well, I don't do other people's nails so I don't really know LOL. I have done my mom's but she knows the drill =)

  • OmG ThIs iSs sOo cUtE

  • this is SO COOL! LOL i'm ALWAYS amazed by ur videos even if its the same type of technique it ALWAYS amazes me lol

  • you are amazing! :)

  • What is your email adress...I would like to send you some pics of my past marbling and get some advice...luv your videos :)!

  • @FlipzGirlz I usually recommend people share any pics on my Facebook page because I get super behind with emails, but it is listed in my blogger profile =)

  • This is the most beautiful design yet! wow!

  • @valentinevanesa2 not on video, but it does happen =)

  • Do you use a little dixie cup to water marble?

  • @lulubell654002 yes, although it's a generic brand =)

  • pretty

  • So beautiful :)

  • thanks so much i love your nails n ur designs they are so pretty i will definitely b looking at those vids now thanks!!

  • this is absolutely lovely!

  • what do u use opn your real nails to keep them strong n growing? they are so nice!!!

  • @Luv2bbeautiful I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.

  • Does the polish come out dry or do you have to wait for it to dry?

  • @HELLDoll21 It’s mostly dry within a few minutes, then I use a quick-drying top coat =)

  • That´s a nice design and wonderful colours!

  • cute as always

<3 ure surely my best nail guru :)

    <33 Nisha

  • the prettiest manicure I've seen

  • Wow! That's so cool! I didn't even know such a thing as "water marbling" existed! You have such long beautiful nails. I'm trying to grow my nails out, I tend to bite them but I'm not going to do it ever again (hopefully.) Subscribed!

  • do you find that one brand of polish works better then others, if so what brands ?

  • @tinas30 There really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)

  • OMG!!!!i luv ur vids!!! but every time i try water marbling it always gets mesy and EVERYWHERE!!! maybe cuz the nail polish dusnt drip so easily...is it only china glaze that dus that and liquidy nail polishes??

  • @beatriceyoung13 I've use all different brands - if your polish is too thick to drip easily, I'd recommend some polish thinner =)

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues kk thnk a bunch!

  • your water marbles are so awesome!! i love all your colors too!!!! XD

  • @SimpleLittlePleasues thanks for replying to me! I do know that the Del Sol polish marbles well, I've had one for a while and the others for a few days - did some experimenting with the one a while back.... Couldn't decide on a color. :)
