the white nick fury is the original. When the Ultimate universe was created, they made him black. original nick is still in the comics. He's no longer head of shield (green goblin is), instead he runs the secret warriors.

And none of the characters on the team are who they seem to be. (ie venom looks like spiderman and wolverine is actually wolverines evil son)

yeah, you can find them in chapters if you dont havea comic store. Civil War is the beginning of everything thats changed over the last couple years. It's when superhumans are forced to register their identity or become wanted felons. Quite a few heroes are now considered bad guys to the law,and alot of villains are now considered heroes for capturing unregistereds.After Civil war, is either planet Hulk,or Secret Invasion. Followed by the Dark avengers/dark xmen story currently being told.
