  • Well it is very good, but, what 's happen when my fingers are smaller than yours, so, l 'd like to Lear to read music too, it can be more easy, SI thanks a lot

  • @nekoma58 I actually have small hands - middle finger is 1" shorter than the black keys, and I can barely span 9 notes. Child prodigies have smaller hands, but they can play difficult pieces. In other words, most hands are fine for piano :) I made 3 silly reading music lessons to help you understand the logic. after that it's just a matter of practicing sight-reading each day (for that, don't memorize and don't look down at the keys).

  • I learned it well from the first video but its hard to make out which keys you are pressing..

  • @Lennon961 try to focus on my finger movement instead. did you see the slower version? also please learn to read music. the sooner you learn, the better, right?

  • wow really slow ... awesome ... appreciate it thanks a lot

  • cool, really cool

  • I completely learned the hand movements on my own... Which was a very bad idea! Learn them like you see in this video!!

  • This tutorial is awesome. I have a recital in 3 weeks and I have to play this song and I got stuck on the part played early in the video when reading my sheet music, but the way she broke it down now gives me hope that I can finish this song.

  • i have been looking at this piece for quite some time and i have only learnt the first part of the song, i am having trouble with trying to learn the second part? do you have any tips? (how long does it usually take for a beginner aged 12 to learn this piece?)

  • @mardybra the time varies. practice only 2 or 3 measures at a time. use a metronome, start slowly and gradually increase the speed when no mistakes are made. or, practice other pieces for a couple of years, and come back to the second part later, for many do find this part difficult.

  • tanks

  • Can you do voice of truth next please.

  • @jokim1969 pls follow requests instructions, when i reopen taking requests next year (am back logged)

  • Hi,can I ask you what song should i learn next.I can play this with my eyes closed and im 9(by the way this is not my youtube account because im too young too have one)

  • @DoM1N1CG wow, great job! you can check my website tutorial page for other classical pieces. the list of good pieces is endless. have fun! :)

  • @DoM1N1CG FAKE!! XD

  • @goariel10 don't be so sure. to show she mastered a piece, our 10-yr old friend played a more intricate piece with her eyes closed. when you get close to mastering a piece, it's a good idea to practice in the dark to find weaknesses.

  • @bbdhrggl THAT COMMENT IS FAKE TOO!! I KNOW AND YOU KNOW IT TOO

  • @goariel10 are you drunk from champagne already? is not midnight yet!

  • It is so clear that you are a great player, playing in such a slow tempo is definitely a very difficult job!!

But the problem is that the music is so slow that it gets me out of the tempo and the melody itself.

I think it would be great and much more useful if you go a bit faster and explain what should be played while playing it (e.g. play a C then a G and so on....) and like repeat each part twice while explaining.

    Thanks for your time...

  • @TheSomait thanks, but I am no great player. my tutorials are for those who follow the score and just need occasional reference re notes, timing, or fingering. So the slower the easier to compare. If you do not read music yet, try my "reading music: taking the mystery out of reading notes". good luck :)

  • i've always wanted to know the reason for that kind of "switch hands" thing in 2:01 . Could you explain it to me? Thanks.

  • how can you play so slow?!?! :O it could be very nice, if you could explain what you play... but it's hard to see it... and you can't hear the melody because it's so slow... but you are good, and i learned to play the first part :)

  • @mrsdogz2catz it is slow so that you can follow the score

  • @bbdhrggl hmm.... forget what i said... your tutorial on this song is the best! really... :) i saw other tutorials and couldnt use them... so.. thanks for posting this vid! :D ( sorry for my english)

  • @mrsdogz2catz your english is fine, but think about learning to read music, okay? that is why i started this pet project.

  • what lvl am i on i know how to play mozart alla turca quick if it helps

  • @gypolike v.1 or v.2? if you can sightread the entire piece w/o too much difficulty, then that is your level

  • @bbdhrggl i can do both versions but have some troubles in version 2 plus thanks for quick reply

  • This is exactly the kind of tutorial I was looking for. I am decent at reading music (self taught) but struggle with this part of the song. The notes confuse me. Seeing you play helps me tremendously with the fingering.

  • desous m encanto lo masimo

  • gracias a este video pude sacar la cancion que mas me gustaba, esta muy bueno el video esta explicado de una manera que se entiende , muchisimas gracias.

PD: me cuesta la parte 2 jaja

  • Perfect, but too fast for me !

  • @13Missdina the former 10-minute limit was waived. I can slow this in half with movie maker. the sound will be distorted, but it will still serve the purpose.

  • It's a bit boring to listen this slow playing tutorial, but it's worth for learning how it be play. that's the part I want to know to improve my playing for that song :)

  • @fokthisshit sorry, i do not like dirty words under my videos. :)

  • 00:10

  • Very true. Is it also easier to play two different tempo's with left and right, when you can read notes?

  • @bbdhrggl Ok i didn't know fingers are numbered on sheet. Then again, I cannot read sheet music. I am learning from your video now. Its quite hard though. I play for three years now and so far I play Moonlight Sonata 1st movement and Chopin Prelude no. 15.

  • @Dennizzzz89 the sooner you start reading music, the better, right? :) I made 3 easy lessons on reading music for you to get started on. Once you understand the logic, the rest is practice (sightreading)

  • Hi bbdhrggl,

Why is it that you change hands constantly at 1:55?

Does it have something to do with your timing?

    Greetings

  • @Dennizzzz89 The score is written that way :)

  • thank you for the video, i had lernt the part 1 :)

  • At minute 1:03 you play C,D,C,B,C,D (with the R hand) but in my sheet music I only have CDB and then it goes into the C,G,G,G,A,G,B,G etc. I am really confused because most music sheets I have seen, are just like the one I have. I have seen other videos and they play it just like you do.

I don't understand why the notes on the music sheet don't match with the notes you play in the video. Do you think you could help clarify this confusion? I am really trying to learn this song :) Thanks alot!!!

  • @belindalucero the version i'm playing from is from the book cited on the monkey page. you can also check IMSLP, which contains authentic editions (not simplified versions). in classical music, editions often vary. especially for chopin. must be because the composer's handwritten manuscript was unclear.

if you follow mine, you can't go wrong. this book is an old classic, well researched. good luck.

  • @bbdhrggl Thank you for responding to my comment, I really appreciate it. I will try to get this book. I hope it helps me! :)

  • @belindalucero actually there should be a sideways s on top of your C key in the CDB, what it's trying to tell you is to play CDCBC then you go into the DB

  • @vada209 OMG!!!! Yes that definately answered my question. Thank you so much!!!!! :)

  • @vada209 thanks :)

  • Excelente muchas gracias.

  • You go girl, thanks for sharing ;D

  • hola me gusta mucho tus videos solo tengo una duda en 0:31 hai el acompañamiento no lo distingo bien me lo podrias decir no estoy segura si es : f #A e

  • I "much" prefer your slow-hand teaching method over the lighted keys method from others. Thank you!

  • this helped a lot! I was looking for this part of für elise for a long time now. you made my day!!!

  • Gracias por compartir este video

    .. saludos desde Colombia,

  • Thank you very much for posting. Great video!

  • thanks, i knew the first part of fur elise for years and never bothered learning the 2nd part until today. It took me an hour to get this down, thanks to your great teaching method, simple slow playing. Thanks appreciate that I can play the whole peice from start to finish now :) sounds much more impressive

  • you are awesome men, this is what i needed to complete my piano playing of fur elise. thanks.

  • @elishchirchir that's good, but don't call me man or men, okay? xD

  • what's notes in :11? i tried it but it's doesn't sound like it. Maybe because your hand bloked the way i see

  • @pelmilkyway2404 are u following with sheets? try to, even if you can't read fluently yet. It will provide clues. Also, maybe turn off the video sound, so u can hear yourself instead. It is good ear training.

At 0:11 the notes are... (I have to go pull out the book and look at the score to be sure) ... LH: Bb/C RH: E/C

  • @bbdhrggl Thanks

  • Is it correct fingerings?

  • @pelmilkyway2404 fingering varies from person to person, whatever is most comfortable (and sounds okay) is fine.

  • wow

  • Oh man this really make me sleepy, but i must learn this piece!!!! Thank you very much for this, but still in the begining i can't see your hands clearly at all :D

  • @nttt7898 I hope you are using the sheetmusic. Also, make sure you listen to the notes you hit. Turn down the volume on the video.

  • @bbdhrggl Thank you!

  • hhuh

  • could you show the pedal, please. Thanks a lot.

  • @pelmilkyway2404 Try to experiment on your own, pay attention to the sound. You can look for a score with notated pedaling. btw, Josh Wright has a lesson on pedaling. Check that out?

  • could you make a tutorial of 1 liter of tears main theme???? please......

  • @bleachth1046 please visit my monkey site on how to make a request :)

  • ahahah i know how 2 play it now!! (the shortest version of life lol.)

  • ugh! my piano teacher is making me learn this song by friday and its wednesday ... not sure what version i have the sheet music 4 but its really hard im only on like book 2 and i played part of it i learned by ear after a lesson a while ago and now shes makin me learn the whole thing myself ..

  • @tessankenzieshow I feel sorry for you! Is your teacher's name Elise? But good luck, perhaps your teacher senses your uptapped potential. So, challenge yourself, and maybe you'll be surprised. In any case, JUST DO YOUR BEST, and enjoy learning the famous piece for Elise. :)

  • my problem is that i can't play with the right hand and focus my left hand the 2 hands r playing in the same time but anouther note :S that is hard i feal my minde is going to divided in a 2 peaces !!

PS : is there any advice can u tell me plz ?

  • @tamim892 Just take one measure at a time, as SLOW as possible. Keep repeating. You will get faster automatically. Once the brain is trained (new neurons form) you won't have to do this anymore.

  • @bbdhrggl ok thx , but am thinking .... if i practice each hand alone in the first place for example i play with the right hand till i handle it and then the left hand in the same way alone and when handle it i play with the tow hand ,, .

    that can work ?

    sry for my english xD

  • @tamim892 Yes, learn separate hands before combining. When you start playing two hands together. Do just one measure first, and as SLOWLY as possible.. Use a metronome. Gradually increase the tempo and add the second measure when you feel comfortable with the first. And so on.

  • @tamim892 i don't understand what you talking about,sorry.

  • @pelmilkyway2404 nvm ^^ i know how to play it all now thx for u :D and i play it in my spectacle 2 :D

  • i cant play this part... its kinda too fast..

  • @Rilakkuma198 This part is more difficult. Many players skip it. Perhaps practice other songs, and come back to this part in a year?

  • I am so glad to find you.

Thank you so much for your tutorial.

I love your music collections. since I love richard Clayderman, would you please give how to play Concerto pour jeune file?

  • @sassybiz2011 hi. pls read monkey site home page about making requests. you'll see there on the song list that i've made two (?) clayderman songs. have you learned those?

  • @bbdhrggl Yes! I learned Comme amour and Mariage d'amour too.

    Thank you very much!

  • this is hard

  • @mystery1999box you're right. I never liked this part. :) So if I can do it, so can you.
