This is not a pedalboard. This is masterpiece! Looks way better than those fuckin' expensive shitboards you can buy over the internet. Good work, man. :D
Beautiful, i would make a few spec to me to avoid problems, like a fan and a few led hook ups.. I wish i work with these guy.! Anyone know of people in or around Oakland to start building projects with?...
@thattoneguyy originally, that hole was an exit out for the cable to the amp from the last pedal in the chain. we changed our mind and plugged it. paint was a primer filler yes.
I built my pedalboard based off this video, and it is awesome. I added slits in the top level for the daisy chain to reach the pedals on top as well, and a hole in the front for the input on my volume pedal. I also built a case for it, (the pedalboard fits in like a second level on a toolbox sort of, with slits in the side for the handles to stick through and save space. Thanks for the vid.
This is my pedal board and I would like to thank my good friend Johnny for making this custom masterpiece just for me. It has quite a few gigs on it now and is still flawless! I get complements on it every show that I play and they keep coming. Its as tough as nails and nearly indestructable, TRUST ME! There are no messy patch cables or power supply cables to worry about and everything is tucked away nice and neat. As a musician who plays for a living, I could never do another gig without it!
Hey, AWESOME VIDEO! but i'm really new to this stuff and i'm wondering if i have 5 pedals how do i hook that up to one amp. Do i need one pedal to run all of them through? If so how?
Sorry i'm poor so i need to make my own it would be awesome if you could help!
Quite a good video but if I'm going to do a gig I'd like to have a lid on the case especially with a van-load of gear/equipmen. I'm not slagging you off, only saying.
This board is very nice. it doesn't quite suit my needs so i build a different style. you can check my guid on my profile. not as polished as this but suits me well
hey man . fkn awesome pedal board! would you be opposed of sending me absolutely everything you used to make this in detail?? its a great pedal board!
Loved it! cool video... but whats that narrow compartment at the upper right for? and what did you use in order to keep your pedals in place... velcro? if so, did the velcro attached itself to the carpet or did you put velcro on the carpet and pedals?
@sebastianbb12 industrial strength velcro ( 2 inches wide X 4 feet long rolls ) purchased at Lowes also, applied to the bottom of the pedal only. It sticks great to the carpet I use, also purchased at Lowes. You almost can't pull the pedal off. The narrow compartment, top right ?... Ohh ! That's for when u go through customs lol ! no... it's just so u can chase another power cable to the tuner which sits just nicely on that spot above.
This looks like a nice project. So you sprayed it with Car Trunk Spray? also what size is this? Can you post the measurements of each piece? It would be nice to see some pedals laid out on it when it's finished just to show how many you can hold.
@guitarguts666 Not car trunk spray, although that would probably work great also. It's Flexstone spray paint with a stone sealer. You can get it at Lowe's. The board holds eight pedals plus a wah and a tuner above the wah on the upper right.
any idea where to buy large sheets of velcro? all I can find are small patches, but I'm looking for something larger to put in the bottom of my board on top of which to put all my pedals.
@jackriot125 If you use a carpet or felt material on the board then you only need to put little strips of velcro (the rough side) on the pedals, it works just as well and they can be rearranged quite easily.
I have a Qyestion. I see insanely neat pedal boards and want to know how to get that? so how? I'm not really sure what things there are to and not to do to get it neat
@posiedonpowertrio No.1 rule- put some serious thought into your layout and pedals of choice. Hook everything up with patch cables in the order that you prefer on a large piece of construction paper. Trace out each pedal with a marker and then study on it for a week or so visually taking into account any possible change ups that might occur due to exp. ( some people play in multiple bands and use different equipment) and when you're comfortable with it you now have a size. Hope this helps.
@spiderbutt3 I watched this video and helped me a lot: "Pedalboard - How to order my guitar pedals & stompboxes! FX Chain Perfected!" ... there is no specific order for your pedals... try to arange your pedals in any order you like and see which order suits your sound best
Very nice! Have you just glued the board sides and bottom together or did you use screws also? What is your practice- connecting the sides and bottom - wise?
@josipml5 Thanks, I initially use a pin nailer ( air-powered finish gun ) it shoots a very small pinlike brad which holds everything in place till the glue sets up. I then go back and put screws in certain places that I feel need more reenforcement, not many. I use wood workers glue and trust me, it's a strong bond.
@savasavram weight was one of our primary concerns, and it turned out beautifully. Think it was about the weight of a 12-pack (not loaded with pedals). Size and choice of pedals will of course affect that result. We used half inch a/c plywood- easy to finish, light weight and very strong. many people make the mistake of using particle wood- too heavy. Thanks
@savasavram I've seen it done, but I personally prefer to put the p.board in an ATA case- much better protection. I use a guy out in Oregon who builds them to fit application and he's reasonable. Lets face it, it's easy these days to rack up a 1000 bucks on high-end pedals-we should be willing to invest 1/10th of that in a proper case. Peace
Nice design and smooth Texas rock to boot. Almost looks like Birch , Yes?. I actually bought the same material except for the gray spray. Wished I would have looked here first for some time saver ideas on the inner structure.I am trying to work on a lid for the thing. Thanks for the video.
@mitchellprice111 Thanks. The board was built to the customers specs and his pedals of choice which we had on hand. we wanted the end result to have a flow to it that looked good loaded up, kind of like ' building the house around the furniture'. Too many 'main-stream boards' force the player into preset sizes that never seem to work out just right. layout is everything. Peace
@posiedonpowertrio That's Los Lonely Boys. Great blues rock trio from Texas. Not country but I can see where you are coming from. These guys put on a hell of a live show. Saw them twice last summer. Nice pedal board!
@GeetarMatthew ~ Gotta agree with you and hop in here to defend Los Lonely Boys! They are incredible! Willie Nelson and Ringo Sr. (their dad) sings on this studio cut, BTW! I can see where posieonpowertrio is coming from too though!

On your youtube video you place a hole about 1/2 in diameter on the
left side panel at the very top, but as the video progressed it
disapeared. What was the purpose of this hole? Also, was that black
coat just a simple satin primer. Thanks, Connor.
