That as long as everyone involved is a consenting adult, it's no one's place to judge. That's not equivalent to being a racist. Yes, in my area we are taught to not judge people for their sexual choices. This leads to less stigma of sex workers, and consequently less stigma that their children have to endure. I don't believe criminalizing drugs has been a great idea either. Obviously legality isn't an issue in this woman's case, she's a legal brothel worker. Yes, things could go wrong. A cop could also be killed, a kid could get ahold of a cop's gun, etc.

Since i know the concept of "relevancy" is hazy for you at best, I'll break it down for you how we came to mention premarital sex:
You asked "if it's not wrong, why is there a stigma?" the implication inherent in this question being that the existence of a stigma is in itself proof of validation of the stigma. My point was that this cannot be true, because not every stigma can be valid, because many of them are contradict other stigmas that exist, premarital sex being an example.

Aw! This does explain a lot. People who live in areas that have traditionally been isolated from having to experience diverse communities do not tend to value tolerance as much as those who live in areas where people have (mainly coastal regions, port cities, and areas with a long history of hosting various types of immigrants).

@turbomoore you may feel 40 hours leaves sufficient time (though that depends entirely on what hours you are working, and if your kids are old enough to be in school). Some people feel that does not leave sufficient time to spend with their family, or that having significantly more time is even more beneficial to their family.

Would you tell a Jewish family to convert in a heavily Christian area to avoid stigma for the sake of their children? @PriscillaRelentless Do you know what happens to homo animals? They don't reproduce (have kids) and don't bring more of their gay kind into the world. So they aren't successful and/or meant to exist in nature or have children, so they aren't worth talking about. Whores carry a very negative stigma in both jewish and christian religions. The whore is going to catch more flack than someone of a different religous belief in a particular predominate religous area.

@turbomoore Actually, there are theories that suggest that it is useful to have adults in the community who do not produce their own children. But that's entirely irrelevant anyway. The point is, you ask why you would make a choice that might lead to stigma, but you probably do not truly value conformity to avoid stigma above all else in all other situations. What Judaism and Christianity think of prostitution is irrelevant and has nothing to do with anything that's been said.
