  • NO!... will it blend !

  • you copied forresttrenaman

  • I bet you can make a honda fly :) lol

  • i am sure it would fly cuz i think its over wiegt and i think u need to add wheels in it so it move and give it more power just say

  • you should get four props and put them underneath and be able to control all of them to make it hover and then fly.

  • so..., did it fly???????

  • i know what he is doing. probably going back to his childhood when he started getting into rc planes. some flew some didnt.

  • I think it should have been a pusher from the rear, just to opptmize the thurstvectoring eff.

  • u should cut holes to place the electronics

  • The question is "Will it blend?"

  • cool...beast mod!!

  • But will it blend?

  • thrust vectoring glider

  • kool vid

  • @jizzlecash werid

  • Wow! A vector type motor set up on two servos. I've been trying to do something like this for a while now and here it is all figured out, THANKS ! - I'm gonna make one for a kite....

  • next you should dig out the foam and put it in there (the engines)

  • I think it will fly. I think also that control will be sloppy. Turning will be slow to respond. Cannot wait to see.

  • you will be pissed if it started to rain on it

  • nighteflyyer can you post a btter video of the motor and servo in action is it a camera mount or not??

  • nighteflyyer can you post a btter video of the motor and servo in action is it a camera mount or not??

  • Never seen thrust vectoring on a prop job before! Wow.

  • i got the exact same glider a long time ago! i didnt have any elecs tho...

  • Ur so cool! (Y)

  • every one does that boring

  • lol thrust vectoring...

  • very nice

will you plz e mail me the control circuit diagram. witn component ratings plzz

  • it will not fly! i bet!

  • screw chipsRgood101!, you Nightflyyer to be honest are one of the best on u tube and also really creative

  • dont look at the below comment!! it spoils it all lol i spammed it

  • lol , spoiler lmao

  • FUCK YOU SPILIER HORE

  • why do they call it a dollar store if it has stuff OVER 1 DOLLAR?

  • the word dollar is in it right?

  • It don't matter to me if it will fly or not I see some creativity there and you have to give him credit on that. What it really boils down to Its kinda neat to see a complete RC PRO Just having some fun with spare parts.

  • Your very kind. Thanks.

  • of course it wont fly :D none of the core issues needed to fly have been adressed! things to think about when making a plane... Wing Loading! motor thrust! weight! amp draw from prop and motor combo! aerofoil design! amongst other things. now to make a plane properly do the following Dave, make fusalarge, add ALL electrics to get flying wieght, add 20% to total wieght to work out size of wing, then match a motor to prop for low ampage that give at least HALF of total weight...

  • in thrust (may need much more depending on plane) decide aerofoil design to match plane or flight style you want, balance plane to roughly 25 to 35% of wing chord, and you should have a plane that will technically fly well once trimmed :D give it a try mate ;) btw 5* for effort :D

  • no it will not fly as you can see it would need a nose dip also about 3 wheels two at the back and one at the front and also you might need 2 motors at the back to keeps its gravity intact and also the friction would help with the wheels so it would give it a bit more balance depending on where your going to make it take place.

  • Maybe one day.

  • one more thing, YES IT WILL FLIGHT, probably hehe

  • i saw that first time, I didnt see the second part yet, but i already likes your video, and the idea of the plane.

  • where is the fly

  • its not, motor is too weak

  • make part 2 quick im desperate to see this fly !!! lol !

  • Its up, see the response above.

  • thats cool but could you put on the air

  • Its up, see the response above.

  • where is part 2 ?

  • Its up, see the response above.

  • nope u guys are wrong Dave is an expert !

of course it will fly =D

  • Its up, see the response above.

  • Looks like if the CG is right it will fly. Control looks like it'll be a lot of fun...

  • It's up, see the VIDEO response above.

  • whinis he going to post the part 2

  • I can't wait to see if it Flys Good Luck Dave !!

  • if it isen't to heavy it can but balance is another question ...

  • it looks like all of the mounts will fall off when it flies.

  • yeah thought that 2 when he turned the plane XD

  • it will most likely "glide" for a few seconds then hit the ground. but if it is lighter than it looks it will fly but pretty low.

  • I love the motor mount!

  • It will fly, it looks like it will and my experience of building scratch built home design hand launch models is - "if it looks like it will fly, it probably will"

  • wow.. i was thinking of remaking the body of my mini storm launcher... cause i fly planes with 4 channles or more... and its my only 2 channle plane... and the body just isn't good... kid's stuff lol

and now i saw this... but i am probably just ganna use the stalk power system though... i can't wait to find out if yours fly lol

  • si men yo tambien i want to see part two

  • Me gusta tu idea Dave, estiy esperando la parte II.

    saludos

  • Looks like the answer was no.

  • ???? How can you say that? I haven't flown it yet.

  • Dave, I sent you a personal message several days ago. No hurry just want to know if its working or do I have to send another way. It will fly, I know you better than that?

    papadewey221

  • Working...I'm just terribly behind.

  • I would get a 2 cell battery, and a bigger prop. I dont think its going to fly honestly, but good luck!

  • Dave,

I thaink that is a very creative idea. My experience with the mini storm launcher (even with 2 motors) was that it was underpowered. I think you're going to need a bigger engine.

    Jeff

  • im not sure at all you just never no these days......but hey what the hell its a gr8 idea and i hope it does.....gr8 stuff looking forward to results...

  • Looks like the answer was no, and Dave is a little too proud to post it. My guess is we will only see the video if and when he manages to get the thing to fly.

  • lol, I'm sure part II is going to be funny as heck.

  • Ooo another invention from Dave =) Can't wait for Part 2! =)

  • wont work not enough power

  • It will be tricky to control I tihnk, but if the motor and prop is big enough it should theoretically work. U might have to play with the CG to get that worked out. I have found that with the weird stuff i have put together u can get pretty far off with that and it will seem unflyable till you get it right.

  • Nightflyer can make anything fly cuz HE is the MAN with the PLAN

  • I guess the motor is just too small for that much weight, the wing area and drag add quite a bit too, so my guess is it wont fly, or if it will, then definitely not far.

  • nice

  • Technically a rock can fly, if you strap a big enough motor on it. The "infinitely variable pitch" looks like a real good idea, could make the plane squirrelly when you turn it though, that could take some getting used to. I think the biggest issue is power to weight, that is a small motor. The more I look at it the more I think it should fly. I know you know your physics so despite my minor doubts I will be more surprised if you can't fly it.

  • I think it will fly but not really climb, and I think the prop is too small

  • i cant wait for u to try it out, please post part 2 soon!

  • Make sure you have alot of up elevator cause with the motor sitting that high and in front of the cg it will probably push the nose down under power, of course it will fly if it's light enough and powerful enough, remember the old F104 starfighter basically an engine with a pilot seat strapped to the front.

  • Cool idea Dave. I bought the same glider last year and started working on something similar, but never finished it. Good to see someone else is thinking on the same level.

I look forward to the next video.

    5 Stars ~ Eric

  • Ive always wanted to try that

  • sorry Dave. I don't think so on this one. it may glide a little but you wont have control or get above 10 feet. just my guess... :)

  • it will

  • But....i wanna know now? This looks like it should be very interesting and i hope it does fly.

  • Ive played with the same idea of using 2 servos for tilt and pitch of the motor instead of control surfaces but I dont think you have enough power with that motor...well find out though

  • I'd suggest less throws, if you can make that radio do it. Don't think it has travel adjust though. Looks like the vectoring would be too much, but give it a try anyways, for kicks

  • it will fly because you are the nightflyyer! but i think it will be a bit of unstable

  • i think it will just do frontflips. assuming that the motor is powerful enough to propel it forward

  • I'm reasonably sure the answer is no. I think it is balanced properly, but the motor is too small for the weight of the plane. I think the setup will give the plane the potential to glide for further distances, but not create any type of forward thrust that is controllable.

  • I think it may fly, but very unstable with that thrust vectoring system. I think some hinge tape and some foam elevators/rudder would work a bit more efficient. But hell, I cant wait to see part 2! I hope it does fly.

  • MOST recievers will not operate on a single cell lipo, they will shut down, I am sure you know this, but just to mention it in case you had maybe overlooked this point.

the reciever will operate fine for a short period of time, but as the voltage drops, it will shut down

  • I was thinking that you would do somthing like that nice setup.

  • A FEW WEEEKS I WANT TO KNOW NOW!

  • it will fly if a garage door can fly then that little plane will !

  • haha

im sorry, but i doubt that will fly

    cool though xD

  • If you get enough power you can make a brick fly (look at the A-4). do you have enough power?

I do like the control system!!

  • i think it would not fly

  • i think its massivly over weight for that mini storm launcher motor. it showed a hint.. the plane didnt even act like it wanted to move when he went full throttle. so no, i dont think it will fly

  • i did this last week with 2 GWS 50A motors outta A-10 and it didnt fly...but novel idea!

  • It would be cool if it does.....i dont think it will but i hope it flys.

  • i think its not balanced

  • hi dave

    cool vid!

i will buy a reciver for my lama v3 :D

  • need to know does it fly, looks like it should.

  • Yeah it's got to fly because you built it Dave and as we all know you are the man of anything r/c that flies,5*

  • Oh yeah! Definatly.

  • Hurry up with part II.

I want to see the results of your build.

  • I think it will fly for you,but if I tried to fly it,no.From what I've seen of YOUR flying skills,I think you could probably fly a brick if it had a big enough motor on it...lol

  • I think it will fly straight, and maybe go up and down, but I think a bank would send it into an uncontrollable spin.

  • i think it should fly but it would be better for the thrust vectron to on the back of the plane but i am probably wrong

  • Cant wait for part 2, i actually think it will fly, but in a strange pattern

  • That is amazing, you are so good with doing repairing and putting together rc planes. I'm glad i subscribed to you.

  • Great idea Dave. I think it will work because if you think about it, really, all it is is a thrust vectoring system mounted on the forward section of the aircraft. It's a risky attempt, but a great model for a concept aircraft. It's definitely gonna fly. The only question one might ask is Is it powerful enough? Best of luck. 5/5

  • hmmmm well iff it gets enough speed then it will fly... just gotta see if that motor can get enough speed and power

  • Cool Idea! No question, it will fly. You may just have to play with the balance a little.

I once mounted my 1m glider wing on a straw broom to prove a bet to a friend. . . ohhh, it flew!

  • OH CMMON! i have always wondered but never tried this. i think it will fly

  • Im betting it flies about as well as a chunk of granite.

Looks overweight & underpowered. Lots of drag. Wings don't even look like they have a foil on them. Leading edge looks blunt.

  • i tihnk it wont

  • Mmm, weight to prop/motor ratio might be an issue.

  • i have the mini SL, and i guess, no, it wont fly. hehe sorry, but nice idea those 2 servo.

  • Hmmmm......I wonder........I guess I'll be the first to know since I'm your cameraman, but I ain't givin' away any hints. LOL. We'll all just have to see.

  • Dave I think if you let it go off the top of a extension ladder it will fly all the way to the ground.ha ha ha I just couldnt resist.

  • it will probably fly but you might have the CG off. When u putting up part two??

  • Oh it's gonna fly. The question is how far! ;)

Good luck Dave! Can't wait to see it!

  • hmm... looks kinda heavy, so i don't think it will fly =( but i hope it does.

  • OK Where is part II and... will it be flown at NIGHT? I could only find one video of you flying at night...

  • I hate to doubt you, but I think it won't fly like it is.

  • Oh come on I can't stand the suspense I sit down every night looking for a new video now this, can't wait

  • Thats actually somewhat suspenseful xD

But my guess is that it has a chance, although I would have put the motor in the middle to even out the power more.

  • i think it will fly, awsome!

  • Sure it will.... :-)

  • will fly

  • Awesome project! I say it will fly, but the controls will not work well. Just my honest opinion, looking forward to part two and I hope it works of course! Experiments like this are always great fun to build and try, "thinking outside of the box ." Again, great job.

  • DUDE THATS THE SAME GLIDER I WAS ASKING ABOUT THE CG ON NICE!!! ohh i bought a new heli well its used but new to me a centry hummingbird fp needs a tail rotor was a steal for 35 dollars and 2 batterys

  • it doesnt fly stock config

  • Hmmmmm......I think it will fly!

  • it wont fly it is to built rong

  • IM GONNA SAY YES..GREAT VID DAVE

  • weak motor lol interesting idea, it seems the motor is going in the right direction all though pitch seems iffy since for "up" thrust the thrust is pointing downwards to the fuse... therefor there is no upwards lifting because the downwards thrust is deflected away not down...

  • prop might be to small. but good luck great idea.

  • i'll save my comments for part 2, lol.

  • It may glide for a bit especially if it's windy but ultimately it will fall like a rock! ...lol

  • yes u can make anything fly!!!

  • cant wait to see it in action!

  • Of course it will. You can make about anything fly...

  • Doesn't seem like a very good motor to choose :) I don't think it will fly

  • D'oh

    Cliffhanger!

  • ya hopefluy keep your fingers crossed

  • cg for coast guard? i hope it flys

  • lol that is the question

  • Yes it will!!!!! ^___^

    ...I guess XD

  • can i buy it haha :)

  • hurry up and get the 3rd part in

  • I did it I know it will work!!

  • If the plane is light it might fly and if its not light it won't :D

  • I think it will fly.

  • interesting. i think it will fly. but it will have little, or no control durring flight. looking forward to it.

  • If anyone else had built it I would have doubts. You Sir aren't just 'anyone' and I am 100% confident that it will indeed fly. :-)

  • CLIFF HANGER!!!! Post tomorrow!!!

  • I wanna see it fly! (or not)

  • I bet you could make a toilet paper spool fly if you put your mind to it! Ha! Ha!

  • first vew for real

  • first comment

  • DAMN YOU!

  • lol

  • cool
