How to Root a Nook Color 1.2

Hello I need help I seem to be missing a step every time I try to root my nook color 1.2.0 I follow all the steps and put the files on my sd card but i can never load into bootloader Please all help will be appreciated thank you

It doesn't help if you don't tell us how to get "manual nooter"(? Is that it? You say it so fast, you give no URLs in the video). How do I get that to the card? You just said "Use your SD card".

@Clemmy987 comparing the ipad to the fire and the nook isnt really a fair comparison. the ipad starts at 500 while the fire and nook are less than half the price. A better comparison would be the Ipad vs the ASUS transformer prime or the Xoom, in which case the Transformer prime rapes the ipad. the ipads duel core A5 CPU is kinda sad when compared to the Nvidia Tegra 3

It's a neat process. But if you got all those other gadgets why would you bother for CARGO pants? Root a gadget to get a marketplace to download stuff from other gadgets to get apps to get more gadgets etc.

@SamizGlam You can. But the Nook will stay rooted. You have to unroot it if you want it to return to normal. I took out my SD card and reformatted it and put it back in. IT'S SO GREAT

figured out that if you don't go to LockerGnome then there's no way to know what to do before the steps shown in the video. Its all very difficult and doesn't work for the inexperienced. Show a video step by step before the end result that you show on your video

i downloaded everything . after i burn the img file to the sd nothing shows up on it .. used 2 different cards .. a reader... and my phone , mounted it as a USB DRIVE and nothing . still blank when i go to replace the files.

@styloankur The Nook Color uses an LCD screen. There is another nook available with an e-ink screen, as well as a small touch lcd for navigation. Another nook has just an e-ink display, but with touch capabilities. The Nook Color is the most expensive of the three.

Seems the rooted Nook is very slow to work. Also, no disrespect, but if you are a dedicated Amazon Kindle fan, maybe you should have waited for the Amazon tablet later this year. Not to mention you could have simply bought an iPod Touch which is basically a pocket sized tablet that actually works and has a Kindle app

Just couse he uses a mac does not make him less experienced or not a power user, should google the specs on that mac pro of his. It's just a mac...with very potent PC hardware. My 2011 Macbook Pro runs windows, but it's the hardware. (OSX is growing on me.) Nobody makes a computer of the same quality. I used to be biased, Hardware guy, Had a machine with an overclocked Phenom II at 4Ghz, GTX 460 etc.
