I think the shinku hadoken could possibly be more powerful,the kamehama wave is a focus of energy from the body while the hadoken comes from the spirit of the warrior.But they do seem similar in essence.

I dont know if this works for wii or xbox, but it works for my itouch. if with ken you successfully jump punch and then throw 2 regular punches and then tge amazing shoryouken you can take 1/4 of their life. Ryu need to take a bit of the ex gauge to do that much damage

no it's just a sparring match i think there master said either a certain time each year or every other year they must do a sparring match against each other and fight 100% but not to kill. if that was the case evil ryu or evil ken would of kill each other a long time ago. secondly ken would of sense the dark hado rising discontinue the fight but he gave ryu the come to daddy hand gesture. so it's not a big deal.... and there both are equal in fighting skills.

in story, ryu always beats ken and in game ryu is always better than ken (with the exception of 3s)

ever play sf2 turbo? Ken is way better...his tatsu if done at the correct time is way better than ryus, and the vanilla throws, well, kens is way better; it lets u corner them and pummel them. fireballs arent that great to use all the time anyway who cares if his fireballs are faster than kens.

the learning curve is way higher with ken but it pays off in the end.

Kens shoryu is vastly better than ryus, his tatsu is deadlier but harder to time, AND his rolling throw is better for cornering. ryu can throw hadous faster...who gives a fuck fireballs are only so useful.

Ken is "better" i think, but the learning curve is WAY higher than with ryu. Ken is tougher to master but better in the long run.

I hated this game so much. If you didn't have an arcade style joystick pad and buttons it was ridiculously punishing. That and the characters were unbalanced. And Ryu was the worst offender; or as my friend put it the king of F@ck You moves. You'd land half a dozen strong hits on Ryu and he was barely hurt. He then throws you and your down half your life.

But then fight starts to get a bit more violent and ryu starts to lose it and go into the hado state becuase his fighting intent becomes to much and does his dark shin hadouken.ken trains VERY hard he is champion he trains for ryu also so he is able to fight hard enough to help ryu be stronger.ryu does not only really fight to win he fights to save himself and akuma doesnt want this,Ryu doesnt fall into the dark hado state so easy when is with ken even if they where fighting akuma

Why would ryu use the dark hado against a friend? Also the dark hado is more of a metaphor for not being humble and omnipotent rather then irrational and ignorant. The only reason it looked like it was because of the art style used, this animation is simply here to sell the game. Try not to think so hard.

ryu and ken have such a strong friendship

ken is helping ryu when they fight you can tell that they are testing each other.this helps ryu to be able to control his evil power thats how at the start of ryu&ken trailer you see ken start of with a kick but then picks it up a notch with his signature move so that it would make it harder for ryu to control his fighting intent and the smirk on kens face is becuase ryu has improved and doesnt go into the state of dark hado so easily this time.
