does anyoine know how to get grip from a disc brake again becuase ive just lost grip and i recon it must have got wd40 or oil on it and i tried using a petrol soaked rag and wiping it off whitch is apparently wht you do and its better but it still dosent even near enuf stop it just slides

so yeh does anyone know any tricks to get it grippy again

tried sanding back the pads? if u got oil or wd on the disc it probably got on the pads and caused them to glaze

I had the same problem just a few days ago, brake oil got on my disc and pads. Gring the pads with soft sand paper, then spray some disc cleaner on the disc (can be found in any bike shop) and after that whipe the disc. You will still not have any power in the brake but normaly after 3-4 days it should be as good as new. Worked for me !

You first need new pads, as the ones you have will be dead,

Then remove the rottor and wash with washing up liquid and hot water.

dry with a tissue. this should get it working again.
