I forgot that Henry Ellard missed this game with some sort of arm injury (seen in the video at 9:52). What a duo in 1982 (Ellard and Paige). Paige eventually breaks the NFL single game receiving yards record as a KC Chiefs WR, while Ellard becomes an All-Pro receiver for the Rams.

Wow, the California Bowl ... thanks for the video. It brings back a lot of memories. I REALLY miss the California Bowl (1981-91). It was a great little bowl game and was well supported by the Fresno community. I was there in 1990 to see San Jose State beat my alma mater Central Michigan, 48-24. OUCH! Somewhere I've got a VHS tape of that. Somehow it has survived all of these years. What are the chances of Fresno bringing back the Cal Bowl?

@FSDogs1 that would be nice if the cal bowl could come back to fresno, but unlikely, the bulldogs have move on to bigger and better things, if there going to be a bowl game it would most likely be name another name besides cal bowl, Nice thought thow.
