If your just starting, take your truck out into a back acre late around 8pm, turn it off and leave the lights on. They wont see anything but lights, and will come as close as 20 feet from curiosity. If you got a nice 308 Big Game hunting rifle there isnt much left of them. :) Have fun bro!

If your just starting, take your truck out into a back acre late around 8pm, turn it off and leave the lights on. They wont see anything but lights, and will come as close as 20 feet from curiosity. If you got a nice 308 Big Game hunting rifle there isnt much left of them. :) Have fun bro!

Take out that 30-30! (Honestly, you can kill a Coyote with a .22 lol) You dont really need Decoys or calls at all... The lights on Bright once its dark out work just great. Lay in the grass next to your truck. Its really easy, because you can see the coyote perfect, but he cannot see you if your behind the headlights. :) Happy Hunting Brother.

You dont know much about coyotes! With out control from hunters they are a danger to us ranchers! Learn your facts! I killed over 50 coyotes last winter my self. And this spring we still lost 20 head of calves to coyote kills! Take $20,000 dollars out of your income and give it to a coyote for dinner and see how much you feel for the coyote then! I have seen a 1000lb cow get taken down by coyotes. LEARN YOUR FACTS because I know you dont know what you are talking about!

But on the dairy I work at and with my cattle at home I pull cows that are calving to the barn... and take dead loss to the back forty…The ones that want to bitch about predator loss are equal to dry land farmers....plant it leave it alone and what doesn’t grow the gov. will repay us for….the reimbursement for livestock does not equal that of cash crops but the programs are near equal All farms/ranches have barns....

@lmcnew727 We spent a buttload of money to put up hog fence (4x4 wire panels) around 20 acres. Our cows are kind of wild we just let them roam and kill a couple a year when we need more meat. The herd doesn't react well when we just take one pregnant one away. Why on earth would I depend on the Gov to reimburse me for my own livestock? the Coyotes should be eating mice and such. 30-6 with a scope works quite well.

The bible in no way suggests that humans can trash the environment and kill whatever they like. My reading of the bible says that "thou shall not kill." Seems pretty simple to me redneck. It also says in the bible the aminals are to be ruled over by the humans if you had read the bible you would have known this. The bible also says you should stone your kids to death if they're mouthy, that you're not to eat shellfish, and that wearing clothes made of mixed fibers is a no-no. It's an interesting read, but not something I'd cite as justification for anything.
