If you've never played a TMNT game before, I'd start with this one before moving up in difficulty (though the second NES game is another good starting point). But the final ending simply rescuing April sounds a bit childish; at least in the first 2 NES games, you rescue April first, then Splinter, then defeat Shredder to save the world! And Krang simply laughs back at you here!
Who would had imagined, Michiru Yamane (Responsible for music composition of Castlevania: Bloodlines and Castlevania: Symphony of The Night) would help with the music composition of this game? :D
you're right. the short ending appeared when you chose a stage in the beginning of the game, but the long (and real) ending happens when you play the game all the way from the beginning.
i love the way how konami beautifuly recreated the much love turtles tv theme in the credits with the added 8-bit percussion its sound just as good as the real thing
nope. i guess Konami/Ultra wanted to recycle the arcade's ending (albeit a slight alteration to the epilogue) as a way to not make something that takes up too much time.
I came for the april o'neil tied up and groped and i expect to see it!

I cannot believe that Ultra and Konami were so lazy with this one that they recycled the epilogue text from arcade game to this! WTF?!

So they made Krang the final boss for this one. I take it you fight Shredder earlier on in the game then?
Falcovsleon21 2 years ago
Yeah, you fight him in an earlier stage, I believe in the fourth stage.

Nicely drawn cut scenes, catchy music, and a low difficulty level makes this game a classic for the original Gameboy.

That's weird, because in the TMNT arcade game it had the same exact ending as this one... Is this game anything like the arcade game?
