  • Ok wait it has the same/similar backing track the lyrics are completely different with different meanings! Come on ppl can't you just accept that both songs are great and the only simliar / same thing is the backing music and tune

  • @BabyAngelz001 they arent saying one is better than the other we are saying its the almost exact same music!

  • @ArianaGforever Like I said though, it's only the backing track that is the same, the language, lyrics and meaning are completely different - the main things. don't mean to sound like a bitch

  • I like Demi and I like snsd (more then Demi) but it's a really coupies from 9 little Angele. I love snsd ver. I love you snsd taeyeon ;)

  • I like Demi's better way better I don't care who's voice sounds better *Demi Lovato* but who's lyrics are better (Demi Lovato) So that's all I have to say

  • @622Savannah you fucking bastard, shut your mouth

  • @yagamimaster91 It's my opinion so waist your time cursing at me I couldn't care less... And you have a wonderful day

  • @622Savannah i bet you dont even know what SNSD's lyrics are about! They are alot more meaningful

  • I like Demi's better mostky because I never heard about SNSD/Girls generation

  • Both are good but snsd voice is so soft but love demi n snsd

  • It's funny how Demi Lovato is younger but her voice is more mature. SNSD are older but their voices is just so so angelic? Any way I love SNSD version better because of their voice is more soothing.

  • I like SNSD version better ^_^!!!

  • well, we all remember the SHINee Juliette and Corbin Blue Deal with it thing. This is the same thing!

  • If ur in the mood for some happy than listen to Born to Be a Lady if your onthe mood for depression than Mistake is good, they're both good songs, Im not going to pick whose better.

  • love both ver XD

  • SNSD AND DEMI LOVATO FOREVER!

  • SNSD FOREVER!!!!!!!

  • both of them sing very well, but like the others said it's neither artists fault

  • LOL Demi's voice is like 10 times more powerful than all SNSD girls together

but I like Born to be a lady's meaning better

  • Comment removed

  • @paolapai Have you heard Taeyeon's or Tiffany's voice?

  • @Maxima0the0Zombie yes, so many times their voices are still too sweet and soft. Demi's voice is so much deeper.

  • @paolapai =O Short up your stupid

  • @ruanaurelianomarques I like SNSD but I can't help being realistic

I'm sorry for not being a delusional fan

  • Demi's record label bought the rights to the music

  • I think Demi Lovato version is guide version.... But she release late.

  • I'm a SNSD fan and I like both version ♥

  • Cheering for SNSD, Demi Lovato - Down!!!....

  • SNSD Born to be a lady came out first :)

  • i love demi lovato but i think snsd's version is better. their soft voices suit the song better i think.

  • <3 <3 <3 Demi <3 <3 <3

  • People really don't know how the Music Industry works.. First, the company buys an instrumental piece and then they write lyrics or the artist themselves can write it. There's been so many cases like this and I just don't like how they blame The Artist. I love both GG and DL and somebody has to obviously explain how the music industry is like and not just blame the person or group of plagiarizing...

  • lol they sound so alike. But really, it's because of the person that tied the two songs alike. really dumb. SNSD's cute but Demi alone is so much better, with so powerful voice...IMO. no one in SNSD can top her.

  • @TheImLuked You said that 'cause you never heard the girls without the cute voice or Taeyeon's (leader) voice. 'Cause Demi looks like nothing compared to Taeyeon.

  • @MzJkingstone umm and have you ever watched Demi perform? The notes she can hit...no one in SNSD can have a diva off against her, that was my point. And do you really think beauty is the thing that should matter? I like SNSD btw! just staying my point.

  • Comment removed

  • @MzJkingstone wrong :)

  • @demichientarichie08 what is wrong?

  • @MzJkingstone Umm well get your story straight cause Demi didn't just go to rehab because she broke with her bf, she went to rehab because she had an EATING DISORDER, and she's hving too much in her life. And please, do you really think Sunny can belt like Demi can? NOPE.

  • @TheImLuked do you think Demi van belt it like Taeyeon can? NOPE

  • @ArianaGforever lol I like Demi and Taeyon both and love their voices. but Taeyeon cannot reach Demi's octaves.

  • @194darkangel Actually Kesha recorded Run Devil Run for her album but they didn't include it because they said it didn't match the album so they sold the song to S.M. Entertainment. (SNSD's management) So officially the song is Girls' Generation's

  • Yes! the rhythm is similar but the meaning is different and i like them both...

  • and different

  • can be a cover in english

  • Comment removed

  • you'll all get over it, just like when kesha did "run devil run" and it was snsd's song, but THEY did everything among themselves, so maaaaaaybe demi and snsd made their own deal, and if whoever says that the song writer/ producer is the same well then "derrrr"........

  • Maybe Demi bought SNSD's song. It's legal. That means, SNSD's song is good and Demi loves it :) SNSD & Demi fighting !!

  • you don't have to insult demi to prove you're right

i'm a sone , but i loved demi since the beginning

  • i like demi lovato but SNSD son has a good meaning.

  • @2cute2B OH. And also 2 members from SNSD are from AMERICA. So they know how to speak english! Research before even commenting!

  • @2cute2B she wouldn't consider you as her fan!

Anyways! I love both Demi and SNSD!!-3

  • @2cute2B I think you don't even know what you're talking about! SNSD and Demi both have great vocals. Just because you can't accept the fact that SNSD's song is better than Demi's.

And WTF?! They're Korean and they don't speak English? So it's like saying I'm Asian and I don't speak English? PSH. You don't even know what hell you're talking about. So stop bashing on SNSD.

BESIDES, SNSD has been gaining fans from all over the world! And I'm pretty sure if you're a fan of Demi and she saw this,

  • I love both their versions, yes they have the same melody but so what? Isn't it amazing how the two group could make it sound different just by their voices? Demi's version sounds more like a sad song and SNSD makes it sounds like a happy song-so they are two different songs. Stop comparing.

  • i love both. but i have to admit that snsd's version is better. there are more meaning behind born to be a lady.

  • well i wonder why mistake so familar , but i love snsd version

  • Demi Lovato has the better lyrics, but SNSD has the better composition.

  • Now, checking the composers in Demi's album and SNSD's, the song was composed by Leah Haywood, Daniel James, Shelly Peiken, who also contributed other songs from Demi's album. But, James and Haywood also contributed in SNSD's album for Beautiful Stranger and I'm in Love with the Hero. So now we go on to the lyricist for BTBAL and IILWTH. Both were written by Kanata Nakamura, who also wrote lyrics for the Jap. vers of Genie, RDR, Gee and Hoot. Now I believe that both artists bought the song.

  • In case you haven't noticed, SME likes buying songs from "Western" composers (those who make the songs' "backbones" - not necessarily the lyrics), and there are also "Western" artists' versions (with diff meanings), a classic example: DBSK's Mirotic and Sarah Connor's Under My Skin. If you check who composed the song, it lists the same names, but if you check who wrote the lyrics, obviously the Korean (or in this case, Japanese) lyrics were written by someone else from the company.

  • The producer of the song sold it to BOTH snsd and demi. So basically demi owns the english version of the song, while snsd owns the japanese version.

  • @iVickaayx3 UMM SNSD is KOREAN! just so you know they are not japanese ._.

  • @XDFinalFantasy Uhm.. just to let you know I'm a huge Sone, and kpop fan, so I think I know that SNSD is korean. I was talking about SNSD's Japanese single Born to be a lady.. its on their japanese album. not trying to be rude, but you probably don't know much about this song then.

  • Hahaha Demi is a SONE hahaha I love the two vers. But actually SNSD ver is best!! :D SNSD Fighthing!! :D

  • demi doesnt seem like the type to steal from others. i would like to think she bought the rights to use this song from SNSD, sheesh, keep your panties on and shut up about it.

  • Ambas versiones son buenas. Genial :)

  • :P personally, i prefer snsd's version, its much....sweeter, i guess...

  • The lyric of Born to be a lady is the best ... one best song´s Snsd

I dont like the song of Demi...

  • Demi is a Sone

  • @GGjjang Hahahahahahaha D:

  • Demi lovatos versions better unfortunately tt dont get me wrong i like kpop but demis music and voice was better

  • OK NOW I KNOW THE TRUTH, "born to be a lady" is produced by SHELLY PEIKEN while "mistake" is still written by SHELLY PEIKEN,

ITS NOT DEMI NOR SNSD's FAULT,

try looking at wikipedia (unbroken demi lovato album and girls generation 2011 album)

AGAIN, ITS NOT DEMI NOR SNSD's FAULT

  • @sampotss12 EXACTLY!! I am a fan of both and I see no point in arguing here!! SNSD and Demi are both good singers and both had struggled to get to this place! RESPECT PLEASE! Stop insulting each other without knowing em well!

  • @Andicator

    God bless and your comment

  • you guys just have to admit that this song is so0o00o much better to @ddlovato

  • i love Mistake is better ^^

and demi vocal is best :)

  • Hey! It's Just the BEAT and the RHYTHM!

    The Lyrics were Completely Different.

They Tackled Different Issue in Life..

They bought the song from Lea Haywood & Daniel James. Means, they both have the license.

which also mean that Demi DID NOT PLAGIARIZE or Something..

And Based on a Site, They were BOTH (Mistake of Demi and Born to be a Lady of SNSD) Produced by the DREAMLAB...

    so PLEASE DON'T COMPARE

    Please DON'T COMPARE.

  • yes demi's label asked

  • Demi.

  • I love da song mistake (:

  • Its just the beat, not the lyrics.

  • @PokeTopic Yeah! they tackle Different Issues!

  • demi listens to heavy metal not kpop

  • @UnspokenLyrics99 yeah but her music has always been pop/rock especially the new one is more RnB/Pop

  • Girls'Generation version is bettar than Demi's version

  • WTF? WHY? I LOVE SNSD AND I LOVE DEMI, but i don't know what think about it.

  • wow!!!!!

  • Does it really matter? and Demis version is better. I dont even. Some people are just crazy, how can smsd's singers come even CLOSE to demis vocal capability?! and their english in the song just makes it sound stupid.

  • @2cute2B its snsd!! and ther Korean they dont speak English of cores its gunna sound weird god!!!! and yah demi has a great voice but thats called plagiarism its illegal. but hey maybe she asked or maybe she didnt. still you dont have to diss on snsd just because you like demi more. i mean i HATE!! demi but yah she has a great voice!

  • @cupcakeloverlol "of course its gonna sound weird" then why do asian ppl INSIST on putting random english in their songs?! im sorry but that just pisses me off cuz its just so stupid and it ruins the song. Also, in case you havent noticed, i wud like to point out that demi is the ARTIST, she is not the writer, she is not the composer, i dont get y the blame wud even MARGINALLY land on her. Considering the fact that theres no way she wud have even REALIZED its similarity to a KOREAN song.

  • @2cute2B um they sing it in english because im pretty sure those phrases arnt in there language. OK yah demi didnt write it (because she cant writ songs lol) but she still agreed to sing it AND IF U DONT LIKE IT DONT LISTEN TO IT!!! simple fix wow!! also im just mad because ur dissing people on there language just because u like the other song and its stupid and childish i meani dont like demi but i will agree she has a good voice so STOP!!! oh wow another easy fix!!:D

  • @cupcakeloverlol they dont have to use phrases that arent in their language, smart one. and also, it doesnt matter if she agreed to sing it (i wonder if u even read my comment before u replied) because i said she would have even REALIZED the similarity to a KOREAN song, so wtf even if she agreed, she wouldnt have a clue it was already made.

  • @cupcakeloverlol and also, im not dissing their language, i hate how people like you just attempt to use strawmans to prove their point even when its wrong. i said that the ENGLISH sounds stupid, i didnt say their KOREAN sounds stupid, so how the hell am i dissing THEIR language? i realize you misinterpreted SO MANY things i said, that youre probably just a fob who doesnt understand english anyway, so why do i even bother? and so after this comment, i wont anymore.

  • @2cute2B well your still dissing them either way and i will admit i shouldn't have said language but your still dissing them either way.And i do understand English very well!! AND YAY YOUR LEAVING HAHAHAHAH WHY AM I EVEN STILL TYPING OH WELL!!!!!!!!XD

  • @thisisam09 LovinThisLifeForrU made a statement to the crap youre spewing, so just refer to that. and also, in my part i would like to say that the point of demis song is NOT for the person to suffer, and that you just suck at interpreting and understanding it because of your sad english capabilities, but thats ok, you can just stick to stuff like snsd.

  • @thisisam09 And also, i like how you say that snsd has more fans, but sadly, they just cant make it as big as demi. demis HOLLYWOOD and the world, and snsd is well, they cant really expand beyond asia. so even if they "supposedly" fill more people in concert, it doesnt really matter, they wont ever gain the same exposure as demi.

  • @2cute2B What's wrong with adding English to their songs? Languages don't belong to any specific race so what the fuck are you on your high horse for? It's because you're narrow-minded that you think it's weird.

I don't hate Demi at all but so what if she's "Hollywood"? A lot of them get drug-addicted just as their careers start and some make it big by being in porn. Asians have better morals. BTW, SNSD has already expanded to America and Europe whereas Demi will never expand beyond Disney.

  • @thisisam09 yay!!!!! someone agrees with me! suck it 2cute2B.............that was mean but still!:D

  • @2cute2B don't say SNSD is stupid.. comparison is not an option here because they have different styles, and they are different persons.. U don't even know who SNSD is so u have no right to say that they are stupid.. Maybe you are the one who is stupid for comparing different persons who exists in a different circle..

  • i like english version love demi lovato

  • Comment removed

  • heeey!! It really is!! O.o

But I personally think SNSD is much more better than demi lovato! Cause they have something in their voices like more feeling and smoother singin! :'D

  • whoa it does sound the same

  • @YumekuiBeats I just gave an example. I'm just comparing the beauty aspects of both West and East. I didn't say that all westerners in general think asians aren't pretty. It would be quite confusing if I had said that, considering I'm a westerner hardcore SONE who ever wanted to be born as asian.

  • demi lovato can sing live well!

SNSD sucks live ! i was wondering if they don't dance, or fat!

nothing to sell but I admit teayon is the only one great singer in SNSD

  • THIS ISNT DEMI'S FAULT AT ALL! SHE DIDN'T WRITE THE SONG, SHE'S NOT A PROFESSIONAL ARTIST YET! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! The producers made her do it, not her! Don't blame it on Demi! P.S I think Demi's voice is so much better.

  • demi lovato bought the rights of melody!

  • Demi Lovato compro los derechos de melodia!

  • i love demi lobato but sohis song is better !!

  • won't it too obvious??!!!

    plagiarize SNSD's song!!!

  • I think this is one song with 2 diffent language.

No one copied it from others

This song is so good but I love Demi's version more than SNSD.

    Demi's voice is so great!

  • Guys, Born to be a Lady wasn't made by SM. Mistake also dosen't made by Demi. The original composer sold it to both of them which means SNSD will sing in Japanese while Demi sing in english in a different way but both are same music and melody!

  • its so obvious, our girls was the first one to have that tune.

  • i love demi and k-pop this song is so beatiful and the voice of demi is so amazing but snds sing in japaness and i love it ><

  • Demi's voice is too strong for this sweet melody of the music

  • Comment removed

  • SNSD or DEMI LOVATO ?? Who owns the song ??

    answer me please

  • @AnimeGenderBender both own it, they bought the melody legally off the same producer.

  • @AnimeGenderBender They both own the songs. The composers of the melody for both songs are the same people. The only difference is the composer of the lyrics.

  • @mangac777 OOhhhhhkkkaaaayyy ? Thanks :D

  • @AnimeGenderBender SNSD (:

  • @DasmexyRAWRS I dont thinks so now ! lol ! Someone told be that the MELODY MAKER is the same but the WRITER ( i mean the one wrote the song ) IS NOT THE SAME :)

  • copying the tune of snsd's born to be a lady is demi lovato's greatest mistake..

I like demi but I love SNSD . but mistake is a good song too. but still..

  • @aegyogirl13 you are ridiculous, this was clearly a licensed remake. SM would of wasted no time in releasing a statement with their intent to sue. Songs get licensed overseas all the time, like G Dragon making a version of "This Love" by Maroon 5.

  • Wow... I still enjoy both songs!

  • LOL .

No wonder when I heard Demi Lovato's Mistake , it reminded me of SNSD some how . xD

  • I hope Demi bought the rights, that's SNSD' song!

  • @PreciousHime she did...

  • @PreciousHime Lmao. Of course she did, I don't think she wants to be sued. She's not some dumbfuck.

  • I prefer Girls' Generation's Born To Be A Lady :)

    ellen has a great voice!!

  • Actually SNSD really is the Original, but maybe Demi just made it an English Version ... Lets JUst wait until she Admits it .. if She doesn't then "I dunno" what will happen...

  • ok she didnt take the song she took the beat big differece

  • what's with the artists coping SNSD..>.<

  • @theyamapilover its not copying..................... the producer sold the same song to Demi and snsd

why people dont get the imformation first? -.-

  • @TonksLunaHermy08

    I didn't say DEMI...I said artists..another ones

why people don't read the comment well first?-.-

  • @theyamapilover sorry^^

  • @TonksLunaHermy08

    Don't worry about it...^______^

  • omg they weren't kidding about it being the same... oO...

but anyway i heard they both have rights to it so who cares

  • Alot of Kpop songs sound similar to U.S ones! I have a few examples on my channel :)

    /watch?v=KWrbF2Yu2ks&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

  • they both sound great. I love Demi, but i more love SNSD. I'm sorry, but for me it's a good thing SNSD released that song first, they have been involved to many plagiarism and I dont knw which one is the original... in here you can see it clearly.

  • As a fan of both, I have to say that though they both sound great, I still like SNSD's original song better because one, the ranges of voices, it's not just one person singing it but nine which added to the song and two, I personally like the lyrics of the original song better. I will still support Demi and her new album but I can't get the original song out of my head if I listen this song.

  • Comment removed

  • People should stop arguing. Damn LOL

Both versions are good in their own rights.

  • WHATTTTTTTTTTTT I WAS WONDERING WHY THIS SOUNDED FAMILIAR! YESSSS

  • but why??

will it not be shameful for demi's team?

  • jajaj!

  • @marioncita1000
