you really need to clarify yourself before everyone on youtube tears you apart, lol. Poomse is at the heart of traditional tkd. I agree it has somewhat been "bastardized" by the shortening of stances etc. For me, poomse "is" REAL tkd. Please give us your defitinition.

But ask ANY traditionalist; they will tell you the same. Poomse is where we refine our technique to the point of flawless perfection. It puts the "art" in "martial art."

Kukkiwon have no standard the koryo vs koryo tells you that as that girl was black listed with otheres for standing against this rubbish from the Master Grade and very few have guts to say whats wrong

I would have to agree with piddy; the vitnamesse guy should of won; the Korean had friends in the stands; u could see all of them watching and some even looking like they were trying to help him. They were all pretty good though.

These forms are good for local or state level, but I'm disappointed that these are the best in the world for WTF. There is also a bias towards Koreans at this tournament. First place is one thing, but winning by half of point. It is not that good.

And hey, simp, AAMAsho, Ross, I'm WTF (and now ATKDGMA) and I'll get some videos posted of me doing forms and some others and see what you think. I'll check to see if you've posted yourself also. I think ITF forms are good too, and yeah I dislike the Tae Guk; I practice the Pal Gae system. I also know that the form cirriculum is abbreviated. I learn as many forms as possible from lots of styles because of what they teach.

Sad, but I also agree that WTF's poomsaes are horrible!! I think karate kata are so much more elegant and powerful to watch. I don't think there's anyone from WTF that can perform patterns like Luca Valdesi or Michael Milon.

God the WTF poomsae are horrible....Im a 3rd dan in ITF and I know I should be open minded to other stylists own ways of doing things but these wouldnt even place at a regional tournament never mind the world championships!!!
