I guess you could, not sure if a webcam would give you enough detail though thinking about it. If you set the automatic interval inbetween picture taking to be say 10 seconds, that should give you enough time to move the figures.

Thanks as always - you can do stop motion with any camera, doesn't need to be any expensive one, give it a go.
