by "outside' do you mean notes outside of the key? And is the significance of this to switch into a new scale of the same key? I'm sorry but theory really isnt my thing so I'm a bit confuzzled. O.o

outside = non-diatonic or modal interchange or pitch axis. Take your pick of use.

Excellent riff! Difficult to get your speed, but even with slower timing it still sounds tasty.
