Hey guys! On this webiste --> Memmento.com <-- you can find some information about Andy and also it is his official online memorial where you can upload photos, videos or memories and wishes! Please feel free to express your condolences
Monty Python and Mel Brooks both predate Kaufman. And while I really like Kaufman--and Warhol--I can see why people would consider them pretentious jerks. At the very least, Kaufman erased the line separating sincerity from irony, and Andy Warhol gave us The Velvet Underground; and if you don't think that those two accomplishments merit some recognition, that's fine. Enjoy Lady Gaga and Two and a Half Men, but stop posting on these videos.
@LeonSpinx1 I know Warhol managed The Velvet Underground but saying he "gave" us The Velvet Underground makes it sound like they were his invention. The Velvet Underground gave us The Velvet Underground.
He just has set up the road to follow or comedians, you assholes!!! from Monty Python to Mel Brooks, from the Simpsons to Family Guy, everybody´s in debt with that "talentless asshole"... but then again, he wasn´t a comedian, he was a song and dance man... maybe you should go watch Jersey shore, you must find that hillarious
I don't know if he was supposed to be ironic or something but SNL and national T.V. wasn't a suitable medium for his "talents". The guy was kind of an arrogant asshole too if you watch "Man on the Moon"
@cacurtis1 Arrogant asshole? No, he was just himself. I agree, it was extremely awkward to put him on a skit show. Andy was a strange guy and just because he acted like himself doesn't mean he is an asshole.
The more often I see that routine, the more I love it. It kind of grows on you. Oh, hey, Alice Cooper! Right on...awesome video, thank you for posting it :)

@darrenmuse i couldnt agree more. this guy is a talentless asshole like andy warhol.
TheEgg185 10 months ago
@darrenmuse the idea is that unlike the real no talent assholes, Kaufman allegedly intended to waste the audience's time.
Shanethefilmmaker 9 months ago
he did it--but not in a funny way
