  • I was very saddened to hear about his death at the time, he only recorded it days before that tragic accident in Dec of '67. Hes definitely one of the best soul singers of the 60s. I must have played this record continuously until I wore it out. My mother thought I was crazy; I just loved to sing-a-long with him and still worship his memory. We lost him way too soon, just like JFK, MLK, and RFK not to mention Buddy Holly, Jim Croce, Elvis & the other stars now in that rock n roll heaven!!
