  • HOLY CRAP!!!

  • hi guys can someone explain why when i catch striper in freshwater they dont fight as hard as when i catch saltwater striper? and they average around 10-45lbs when i catch them so its not size difference but what is it?

  • can someeone explain this to me, i have caught striper in both fresh and saltwater all averaging around 10-45lbs but ive noticed that the saltwater ones fight 10x stronger than the ones in the fresh water. will someone explain why this is? thanx and nice fish

  • @FishHuntAndTrap2live okay from ur story i believe the ones u catch in freshwater they are hybrid bass they dont reproduce in the wild and look like striped bass but smaller they r usually are bigger then large mouth bass and yeah thats about it

  • I like it

  • @longdistance50cal

Striper are fresh water fish as well.

  • So do striper.

  • @longdistance50cal

    HYBRIDS are not striper.

  • thats a striper lol. not bad.

  • Man I wish we had good size striper in NC. All we got are largemouths and hybrids and hybrids don't tend to get very big. Not as big as striper.

  • Here on the Island we just call it Bass no need to qualify if it is large mouth or stripper....sorry for the confusion to those that don't fish in this area and expected a 20lb large mouth....Now that would be a record...I posted the vid for our neck of the woods and part of my daily update reports......

  • thats an awsome size! (baby) lol but seriously striped bass get very big! but perfect size!

  • max 15lbs

  • lmao

  • stripper bass lol

  • its a stripper.. o.o

  • nice stripper

  • hes a decent striper i doubt 20lbs because it looks like it has a medium girth oh well nice fish either way

  • the record for the world is 11 pounds..

  • lol 11 pound striper is not the record the record for arizona is 62 pounds i believe

  • @thumpa09 The records 67. Nice guess!

  • @windedwalrus12 More like 125 lbs!

  • you can use curly tails they work really good. I like to use Uncle Josh Pork rind red or yellow 240-S are my favorite.

  • its a striper, granted stripers are in the bass family but usually if you just say bass people are going to assume its a largemouth, at the least, a smally, but no striper, not to shabby of a catch though

  • ..... is that lynard skynard in the background ??

    lol

    nice catch

yea i also thought it was gonna b some sort of freshwater bass

  • i wasn't expecting a striped bass...

  • me neither

  • i thought it was going to be a largemouth bass big disapointment

  • Smallmouth never get to twenty pounds.

  • thats some good eating

  • ok ok maybe a 20lb largey, but a 20 lb small mouth? i havent heard of that, lol

  • 20 pound small or large mouth bass???? c'mon man, lol

  • Nice My biggest was 45 Lbs!!!

  • @stpaul7 holly shit a 45 lb bass

  • the biggest bass i caught was in moriches inlet

when i was 9 and it was 32 pounds on a freshly caught herring

  • Joe I can understand your fustration. Down here where I live you can catch as many as you can some days. 17 hours no fish I would hate it to...

  • i hate stripped bass fishing , i go off shore in the hudson river its so slow i gaught a 17 pounder and it took 12 hours ..all that time for one fish ...not worth it

  • Guys what part of Catch and release didn't you get? It was RELEASED without weighing it. I have caught MANY MANY BASS up to 50 Lbs it was AROUND 20. I say it on the video it's an estimate.

  • Nice striper man, all I can catch are stripers about 9 or 8 inches long :( haha

  • Never weight it I released it right after we took a Picture. It was close to 20 Lbs...
