These aren't sissy squats, as others have pointed out. Sissy squats are not named for sissies, or make one a sissy, but get their name from Sisyphus, who was sentenced to continually roll a boulder up a mountain. Think of that angle when conceptualizing the exercise, and you'll see the biomechanics of a proper sissy squat.

Yeah, this is not a sissy squat. It is simply a one-legged squat. A sissy squat is actually quite different to this.
