  • Is there any reason you have two wheelchairs? Does the standing have limits with its functionality compared to your other wheelchair?

  • very nice video..your very independent as i can tell which is great..im a c4-c5 and cant fully move my fingers but hope to be just as independent as you one day..great video and keep up the great work.

    =] take care.

  • Whysohigh, with a standing chair, now there is no excuse to do more housework! Dammit. Hope my missus doesn't find out about it!

  • Levo makes that chair I believe

  • Love it

  • @whysohigh ok well its very impolite, no one who cant stand wants to be told to stand, im deleting your comments and blocking you from my page, you need to learn some fucking manners and gain some respect for what people have gone thru, because it can happen to you

  • How much does it go for? I've been on the website but it doesn't say....

  • @pichagi was a little over $10,000

  • dude that is KILLAH

  • Too Cool!

Sure that chair may seem quite expensive to some, but WOW! look at how much more it can enable you to do. I'd say just for that, it's worth every penny. Thanks for sharing your video. I wish you well.

  • What is the name and make of this chair.. I would like to get one

  • @mathys660606 the link to the site is in the video info

  • thats awesome =]

  • If you can I would be greatful!

  • Quick question where did u buy the light up wheels on ur quckie gti?

  • @Deepin210 i havnt been able to find them online, they were in the quickie catalog when i first got hurt and ordered my chair, ever since then ive just had my insurance company replace them, i can make a phone call and try to find out where they come from.

  • That chair is totally cool! I am also in a wheelchair..I am a t4 t5 incomplete. My mom cried the first time I stood up to hug her too. I wish you the best of luck xoxox

  • Sorry I wanted to ask you is if u get any num or tingaly feelings?

  • @Deepin210 i do, i get those really bad but ive learned to deal with it.

  • Do you get spasms? I'm a t4 complete spinalcord injury. An wanted to ask you

  • @Deepin210 no spasms, sometimes my big toes wiggle a bit but thats all.

  • This vid was very interesing, but what I would like is to see it in operation (if there is a way to operate it). I'm on the verge of getting a motorized chair myself, but if I knew this was available, I might have opted for this...damn insurance probably wouldn't have paid for it though. Thanx for the "Aha" moment

  • @luvjones2540 its not very good as a regular chair, its heavy and unbalanced, it does not manuver very well at all. as far as an all around chair it gets an F, but when i need to stand to work on my truck, clean higher spots around the house, change speeds on the cieling fan, and clean my fish tank its an A+ all the way.

  • @whysohigh okay, so you just get in the chair and stand in one place or are you able to move it while in the standing position?...that's what I was wondering.

  • @luvjones2540 nope you stand and thats it, you need to sit to move around.

  • @whysohigh Okay, thanx

  • My finance is paraplegic and I found this video to be exceptionally interesting as I have never heard tell of a standing wheelchair. Since we will be getting married in the near future, I thought this would be an awesome device for him to use for our first wedding dance.... Thank you so much for posting this video!!! This has definitely made a world of difference on how we will be getting married! :)

    Best of luck! :)

  • Aawesome!

  • wow dope i need one! where do i get one?

  • Curious. How much did it cost?

  • right around $10,000

  • That is cool, it must be extremely useful around your place.

  • that's easier than the contraption i have to help me stand

  • haha oh yeah you have the same exact kitchen table etc as we do too funny.

  • Have you had that wheelchair long? Where do you usually use it? I ask this because it seems pretty heavy and like it would be a pain to push with the added weight and with the big padding between you and the wheels. Also do you always have to transfer over the armrest? Thanks.

  • ive had it 2 days and so far use it more than any of my other chairs. it stays around the house and moves suprisingly smooth for its size and weight. i use it in the kitchen reaching high cupboards, for hanging up laundry, in the garage mostly, i live alone so theres a lot of high places that havnt been cleaned in a long time. i love it.

  • oh and the armrests move out of the way, iv only had it for 2 days but im sure theres plenty of different ways to transfer in and out of the chair. there are thousands of ppl in the U.S. that use this chair, surgeons do operations from it, machine workers got their jobs back because it allows them to reach their work again, a lot of ppl hunt from it. its very comfortable, if i had a place for my head to rest i would sleep in it.

  • the one i was gonna get was almost like this..from saginaw michigan from the standing wheelchair company...was run by a hydraulic piston that i could tension as i pulled myself up and i could leave it wherever i wanted it to .. was sweet....i blew an acl a fyr back pretty much fked my leg benden completely right from playin softball etc....its all good tho

  • yup thats the one i have, i live 10 min from saginaw

  • wow i remember when it first cam eout and the rep cam eout here to do a clinic...how the hell did u get insurance to pay for it LOL lotta fkn dough...i only have medicare and masshealth yay
