I got a cheep bike like this it's not that bad you should just tighten all the bolts and change the rubber on them because with these bikes the vibration just rattles the bolts out and the rubber on the tires are just crap but overall they are good bikes I just had to replace the tires and the clutch

Check all bolts, nuts, wiring, etc BEFORE you ride it. Disassemble and re-assemble, using lock-tite on the bolts.

Personally I would not think of buying a Chinese dirt bike or ATV because of the inherent abuse it will receive, but I'm pretty comfortable with a Chinese scooter purchase. No off-roading.

These days (2011) the build quality as been improved quite a bit. Still its not on the same level as a jap bike, but for half the price of the jap bike what can you expect. Even get 2 years warranty on the motor here in South Africa.

I hear ya brother. Those Honda's are garbage too. I mean all I did was drop my CBR600 RR on the ground once and, get this, the plastic broke on that side. How cheap is that? Plus I rode the bike and my tires wore down. The more I rode the more they wore. I left it out in the rain and exposed metal, like the chain, rusted. Also I NEVER check any of the torque values on any structural bolts and stuff loosened up over time. Really. But yeah the cracked frame sucks.
I drove a zongshen 125 from Inner Mongolia to Tibet and back again with no problems, got a flat once that is it. 2 months and 10,000 km's.. loved that bike.

@kymcoscooter8 Also, i agree that the chinese bikes are inferior in many many ways. Soft metal, bad rubber, poor fasteners from factory etc.. I was pointing only to the instance of the calliper falling off. Some good PDI work would have prevented this through the use of a thread locker.
Some of your issues, namely the brake caliper falling off could have been prevented by yourself. Because you had the bike drop-shipped direct from china. YOU are responsible for doing a PDI by checking bolts, loc-titing EVERYTHING, checking hoses and wiring etc. If you would have done some research, pretty much any forum dealing with chinese vehicles would tell you how to do this. FYI, even name-brand bikes get the same PDI, its just by the dealer because you cant drop ship them.
In the 1960s, pretty much everything that came out of Japan was junk, too. However, Japanese quality eventually improved significantly. The same thing may or may not happen in China...the culture is very different in China than in Japan.

SOLD IT for 550 broken with no throttle, back brake, or rear wheel, took that money THE NEXT DAY and bought a '93 Suzuki rm250 that runs perfect and hauls ass. i feel bad cuz that chinese bike was totally not worth 550 and for the same price i get something a million times better :)

I just bought a deluxe 250 chinese bike from a local dealer. i had ridden my buddy's honda before and this bike seemed almost the same. i've been nothing but pleased with this bike, easily one of the best chinese ones out there. just a hint, when you go to look at the chinese bikes, do some research first. make sure (if the bike is above a 110) that it is a full aluminum frame, and that the plastic isn't brittle as a twig. i paid 2100 for mine, and for the price it's amazing.

I have a Dirt bike made in China. It is called a FlyWing 150cc Dirt Bike. I know, dumb-ass name. The plastic is soo brittle. I bought it for $400. And I put about $200 into it. It runs like a champ, but the paint fades and the plastic is complete shit. NEVER Buy a Chinese dirt bike. Only buy YAMAHA, KTM, HONDA, KAWASAKI, SUZUKI, and HUSQVARNA.

lastly, there are billions of parts for them available in canada already, try ebay diqwad - im in new zealand and i ordered parts for mine on ebay, from canada.... i got given a 200cc chinese dirt bike, absolutely thrashed it - full revs giving it death in sand dunes barely serviced it - two years later still going strong I stripped the motor down, bore, piston and rings were like brand new, but i replaced em all anyway for 1/10th the cost of a jap bike, including gaskets....
swingarm should have sag in it, that looked normal to me.... you should learn how to adjust the suspension, because almost every one of these i've seen has a fully adjustable monoshock - which needs to be adjusted to your weight and riding style.. if its not suitable, replace the coil spring to one suitable for you - minimal cost and will give you a better ride.... and yes the rest of the world is intelligent and use the metric system, dont bag it coz ur still in the dark ages mate..... lol

dude you are a complete retard - I dont care where a bike comes from, if YOU own it, your going to wreck it because you have no idea how to look after a machine...... first of all - OIL YOUR CHAIN, you can get sticky spray on oil (CRC tac22 is good) from most hardware stores.. CHECK FOR DAMAGE AFTER A RIDE - when you notice something damaged, you fix it.... having just been assembled the first thing you should have done is gone over the WHOLE thing with a socket set, tightening bolts......
1700 got me an 04 rm-z 250, same color too, lol. But wax/lube the chain often and you won't get rust, go to the hardware store and match bolts is you lose one, honda's 230L and the XL 650 have chokes on the handle bar. My 250 does 80 ish, with a 48 tooth rear/5 speed close ration tranny, dad's 230 does 70 ish w/38 teeth/6 speed tranny. But mine makes nearly double the hp and a few thousand more rpm. Not always the gearing in the final drive that make the bike quick, a good engine/tranny helps.

I got the exact same bike as this, hummer 150 and i take it to tracks all the time never had a single problem exsept a snaped throttle cable but so what any way its your bike wich was badly made not all, mine is like mint raced against kx 125 and kept up then slowly over took (thanks to the back sprocket and my chain and stuff are galvinised and choke my italian road bike has the choke on the handle bar so ... but totaly agrea about the stand
If your really into dirt biking get a Japanese for me , I just ride mine down my street and in the park, I had a x22 fighter super pocket bike it is too small and has to many problems sold it for 370$, and got a 125cc daymak with 17inch tires for 870$ with tax and 1 year warranty.which is good power and size for me it depends on what you want to do with your bike for me a few hours of riding every week a Chinese bike is good for me.
I had a chinese bike before i got the 3 hondas i have now and after only 9 months of having the chinese bike it had so many problems. a lot of the bearings are bad the engine makes a load clicking noise, the rear shock seal is bad, the chain came of almost every time we rode it, and all the plastic pieces are broken. I'll never make the mistake of chinese again.

my exhaust fell off my china bike. Just from me dropping it once on the soft dirt and the bolts from the exhaust came out and the thing ripped out of the motor.
The fairings off my skyjet dirtbike also fell off, my exhaust looks disgusting and rusty, I have had to spend £50 to weld like you had too, the rubber on mine are rotting now, I lost my kick stand after ride away from town and never found it. I cant put my bike into neutral when Im riding about, my chain is rusty and has had to be stretched too. My battery is so knackered that the electric start doesnt work in the Winter
1st thing is I own a 06 RMZ 450, it sounds like you put this bike through hell (Bottomed it on a jump etc) and that your over care of the bike is pretty shitty. Not trying to start shit, just saying when I got my bike I removed almost every bolt and nut and used lock-tite and anti-seeze depending on the part. I got my son a baja dr 50 and after I went through it and did some upgrades on it, that thing fing rips. I would not however buy him anything chinese after this bike due to overall quality.

Some of your issues, namely the brake caliper falling off could have been prevented by yourself. Because you had the bike drop-shipped direct from china. YOU are responsible for doing a PDI by checking bolts, loc-titing EVERYTHING, checking hoses and wiring etc. If you would have done some research, pretty much any forum dealing with chinese vehicles would tell you how to do this. FYI, even name-brand bikes get the same PDI, its just by the dealer because you cant drop ship them.

I just bought a deluxe 250 chinese bike from a local dealer. i had ridden my buddy's honda before and this bike seemed almost the same. i've been nothing but pleased with this bike, easily one of the best chinese ones out there. just a hint, when you go to look at the chinese bikes, do some research first. make sure (if the bike is above a 110) that it is a full aluminum frame, and that the plastic isn't brittle as a twig. i paid 2100 for mine, and for the price it's amazing.

lastly, there are billions of parts for them available in canada already, try ebay diqwad - im in new zealand and i ordered parts for mine on ebay, from canada.... i got given a 200cc chinese dirt bike, absolutely thrashed it - full revs giving it death in sand dunes barely serviced it - two years later still going strong I stripped the motor down, bore, piston and rings were like brand new, but i replaced em all anyway for 1/10th the cost of a jap bike, including gaskets....

swingarm should have sag in it, that looked normal to me.... you should learn how to adjust the suspension, because almost every one of these i've seen has a fully adjustable monoshock - which needs to be adjusted to your weight and riding style.. if its not suitable, replace the coil spring to one suitable for you - minimal cost and will give you a better ride.... and yes the rest of the world is intelligent and use the metric system, dont bag it coz ur still in the dark ages mate..... lol

CHECK FOR DAMAGE AFTER A RIDE - when you notice something damaged, you fix it.... having just been assembled the first thing you should have done is gone over the WHOLE thing with a socket set, tightening bolts......

1700 got me an 04 rm-z 250, same color too, lol. But wax/lube the chain often and you won't get rust, go to the hardware store and match bolts is you lose one, honda's 230L and the XL 650 have chokes on the handle bar. My 250 does 80 ish, with a 48 tooth rear/5 speed close ration tranny, dad's 230 does 70 ish w/38 teeth/6 speed tranny. But mine makes nearly double the hp and a few thousand more rpm. Not always the gearing in the final drive that make the bike quick, a good engine/tranny helps.

If your really into dirt biking get a Japanese for me , I just ride mine down my street and in the park, I had a x22 fighter super pocket bike it is too small and has to many problems sold it for 370$, and got a 125cc daymak with 17inch tires for 870$ with tax and 1 year warranty.which is good power and size for me it depends on what you want to do with your bike for me a few hours of riding every week a Chinese bike is good for me.

I had a chinese bike before i got the 3 hondas i have now and after only 9 months of having the chinese bike it had so many problems. a lot of the bearings are bad the engine makes a load clicking noise, the rear shock seal is bad, the chain came of almost every time we rode it, and all the plastic pieces are broken. I'll never make the mistake of chinese again.

The fairings off my skyjet dirtbike also fell off, my exhaust looks disgusting and rusty, I have had to spend £50 to weld like you had too, the rubber on mine are rotting now, I lost my kick stand after ride away from town and never found it. I cant put my bike into neutral when Im riding about, my chain is rusty and has had to be stretched too. My battery is so knackered that the electric start doesnt work in the Winter

1st thing is I own a 06 RMZ 450, it sounds like you put this bike through hell (Bottomed it on a jump etc) and that your over care of the bike is pretty shitty. Not trying to start shit, just saying when I got my bike I removed almost every bolt and nut and used lock-tite and anti-seeze depending on the part. I got my son a baja dr 50 and after I went through it and did some upgrades on it, that thing fing rips. I would not however buy him anything chinese after this bike due to overall quality.

well for one thing dude, is that these bikes are NOT made for Jumps, racing, motorcross or ANYTHING that is called extreme sporting. they ARE made for Driving offroad and having a real fun time, THATS IT, and if you spent $2000 on it in the first place is just stupid. they go for under $900 with shipping and taxes. you got jipped pal. do your research before you buy any motorcycle.

Its not that chinese cant make good bikes . chinese built for a specific thing a BUDGET. If you want a good quality bike then go japanese

Dude I had a loncin and it was a 125 4stroke and I was taking a sharp corner and the crankcase cover blew out wards and the chain broke as well as the back brake calliper don't buy Chinese bikes at all don't even think about because all the money you wouldve put into it you probly could by a cr 125

Ok so everyone knows these bikes r not very good. Why the fuck would somebody take a chinese dirt bike to a track? As far as I'm concerned that is retarded. Anyways I bought one of these 250 bikes for exactly $1242.52 CDN and it helped me learn how to ride and now I race an 05 RMZ450. If someone wants to buy a bike like this to learn they're great bikes just have to maintain them and don't go to crazy.

ok so one all parts on jap or chinese bikes are all metric and 2 you need to set your rear shock to your waight 3 thats why you bottomed out.and i have been racing my bike witch is the same thing for 3 years and hve never had any of those problems.the point is if you dont know what your doing dont ride.end of story!!!!!

If you have 2000 bucks for a dirt bike buy a used Japanese bike. There are many bikes in very good condition for less than 2000.
