  • Ok, I found the problem.

It looks like I had two bad ESC (what are the odds?) I replaced it with another and now it's working just fine...

If someone else is looking at this with the same problem, look for a power related equipment. It is probably the battery, the ESC or the solderings between them.

I also confirmed that my esc was bad. I had the align one it came with and I just replaced it, problem solved. I have no idea why the ESC went bad, it had less than 30 flights on it. It's the last thing I would have suspected too.

Thanks a ton for helping me! Hopefully this helps others too.

  • I changed the tail servo, did not change a thing, still wagging.

The only hardware I did not test (replaced) is my JR XP7202 radio and JR R790 receiver.

Thus, it must be a configuration problem.

I will play with it and let you know.

Please let me know if you find anything.

  • Do you think it could be the speed control?

  • @saltedguy

I have been reading a lot about this problem in the last 48 hours. From what I understand, the pulses are comming from the ESC. Usualy it is to warn the pilot that the battery is running low, under a certain voltage depending on the configuration of the ESC.

In my case my batteries are good, so I will check all my soldering between the battery and the motor to make sure there is no power lost.

And to answer you question, yes it may be the ESC itself.

I will let you know what I find.

  • Do you think its possible that the ESC somehow got setup for the wrong battery?

  • What is the ESC that you use?

  • I haven't figured it out yet, I don't think its a real problem with the gyro since its very new on my heli. I was thinking it was the battery but I can't afford a new one right now. If you figure it out let me know too.

  • @saltedguy

I have 5 battery packs, 3 of them are older but 2 are brand new and I have the same problem with any of them. I used to have this problem only after 5-6 minutes of flight, so I thought the batteries might be the problem. Right now, As soon as I start hovering it starts waging just like yours.

My next step is to change the tail servo and see if it fixes the problem.

I will let you know the results.

    Thank you,

    Simon

  • Have you found a solution to this? I am having the exact same problem...

If you know the solution please please please email me at youtube[at]que[dot]cc

I have the same problem on my two helis.

I have a TRex SA and just bought a TRex SE, I moved the receptor and the S9650 tail servo the the SE everything else is different so it must be a problem with either the config or with the tail servo or the receptor?

On both helis I have a Futaba GY401.

    Many thanks,

    Simon
