I have to disagree! You cant say that he isnt using it correctly - he is just not using it in the usual way. But did Picasso or Dali paint in the usual way? Did they? I wouldnt go so far to call this guy an artist, but he surely isnt just using this not correctly. I know this kind of usage and i can tell you - if he had a better sound quality, you would be amazed about the sound he produces. its all about what you want to get! cheers!

hey i don't know much about mixers so i have a couple questions if you could please take the time to answer them. basically i am looking for a cheap mixer, like this one, to record songs for my band with. I need to be able to record 2-3 guitar tracks, a bass track, and a drum track (8 drums plus cymbals), and i just wanted to know if this was the right thing for the job. than you very much for your time!

The more input you use, the more complicated will be your sound.

You can use the CD / Tape input if you want to use a sound without modifying it and without modifying the feedback.

If you want to record on your Mac, just plug an output of the mixer to your Mac audio input, but it will be probably in mono.

You are overloading channels 2,3,4 with the gain knob. It's designed to be adjusted so the light only comes on occasionally at peaks in the music, not as a distortion effect. You're not only affecting the sound but your whole system with an overloaded signal. You really should use a distortion effect for this sound and keep your levels under clipping. The lights are to warn you of overload.

How is that hooked up to your computer. What kind of cable did you use?

Hi, the mixer is not connected to the computer.

I'm using there 5 cables (6,35mm male Jacks at both size), all plugged from outputs to inputs of the mixer.

The orange cable is linking the FX SEND output and a mono input.

The other cables are plugged to normal outputs.

And thanks to FX options of the mixer I can make a noisy rythme without plugging-in anything on the mixer.
