  • CALSONIC the best JGTC Car :D

  • I can feel the power and excitement in my chair!

  • @FourG63 first off, i agree. Second, this is not in any way a stock car.

  • NSX vs SKYLINE

  • this is straight up real life Gran Turismo 2

  • Super GT and NASCAR are apples and oranges. If you're a real racer, you'd know NASCAR is a great motor sport. Holding speeds close to 200mph inches away from cars all around you, for hours on end, makes it one of the best endurance races out there. Racing comes in all forms.

  • just awesome!

  • I bet he felt great after that.

  • @pab4994 lol what a wise ass thing to say.. something i woulda said!

  • MY GOD! that Skyline was a pain-in-the-ass to overtake!!

  • Now THIS is real racing, I'd like to see NASCAR drivers even TRY to drive tracks like this.

  • @SCHIZOPHRENlC I totally agree! This was down and dirty no guts no glory racing. The stuff I've been looking for. I used to be a NHRA fan, but they're too mainstreamed and full of BS now a days. I have DirecTV, can anyone recommend a channel that I can catch races like this regularly? I think I'm now a GT fan XD.

  • @SCHIZOPHRENlC it will end in a horrible crash

  • I like SATA better than IDE.

  • yuji ide SUCKS

  • I would daily that shit.

  • that was bullshit dude in the NSX was better hands down... i hope that cock sucker got a black flag for pullin that shit... that wasn't in the lines of "rubbin is racing" either... that was some dirty shit he pulled a pit maneuver on that guy fuck him.. anyone who thinks he needs a load of Double Ot Buck to the chest for that like this post.

  • I'm not particularly Ide's fan, and I wouldn't dare to say that Yuji Ide is a GREAT driver, but I know he is a decent professional driver. He can be fast when the car and the team is right.

Those who labels him as a deadful driver only from his SA F1 days have no idea what they are talking about.

If anyone to be blamed for that, it should be Aguri Suzuki who threw Ide into the 4-year-old Arrows without any preparation(even without decent seat-fitting!).

  • Commenters, you can't judge a driver from such a short onboard footage.

This only shows a few laps of the final stage of the race. Ide was trying really hard to keep the 1st place against the NSX. At that point his tyres were totaly gone after a long heavy stint(you can see that).

Sure, maybe he was too desperate and did too much. But you can imagine how it feels when you are in the 1st place and you know the checkered flag is just around the corner after a long race.

  • Thats Ide for ya.

  • dirty barsterd he knew he was a beten man

  • fuck this dirty man!

  • Well, that is Yuje Ide for ya...anyone who watches Formula 1 knows just how bad of a driver he was there.

  • in this video we cansee how the japan driver level is pretty shit. Ide was one of the worst f1 driver ever and he was fired after few races but in japan he can race pretty competitive

  • @svnrf drivin level in japan as shit? just look at how many records japanese have broken....i have yet to see anybody come close to the level of the japanese drifters as well...

  • Which records are you talking about? Drifting and racing are totally different.. Ide was maybe the worst F1 driver EVER and here he is competitive.... Don't forget every japanese driver comes to F1 was shit, maybe only kobayashi is good, but the others japanese driver were bad. Don't forget nakajima too, orrible driver.

  • @svnrf talking like your the top shit around here

  • the nissan driver is a gay!!!!!!he went to spin somebody out he is a sucker loser fucker hell bloody!!!!!!!!!

  • if you pay attention to his hands you can see that he attempts to cut right but the contact was already made

  • too bad he got hit in the end of the video. he worked hard to keep it up. yeye

  • woa what a race

  • Great footage!!

  • thats racing stop bitching

  • What a great quote!

  • no that's just messing up.

Gilles Villeneuve vs Rene Armoux in 1979, THAT is racing.

  • @Melaneimoon thanks for referencing that video, great racing, some nice overtakes!! tho the scale or event is different , this is much the same, tho the tap in this case was enough to end the race for one driver.

    thanks again

  • Yeah well it doesn't really get any better than that ^^

Though you're right, mistakes happen. But there's good driving and bad driving, you know (that also goes for the NSX driver by the way). I'm no racer, but I could see that coming...

  • ide is poor driver lol

  • We've all played racing games where your trying so hard to get back in front that you misjudge a corner and tap somebody. Or, you misjudge and somebody doesn't expect it and they tap you. Its part of the sport. Now had he rammed the living shit out of him....well.....that's not right. But it didn't seem that way.

  • clearly Ide's fault- looks like he hasn't changed since 2006

  • Im partial with this one...The GTR was technicaly in the wrong although I dont think it was a good idea for the NSX to cover turn one... not after entering way off line and then inturn having such a slow exit speed... If you look closely the GTR nearly looses control after braking way to hard - to late through the corner and a tap was it all it took.

  • The Nsx was not in the wrong. The Skyline went off track and bumped the NSX on purpose LOL!! it wasn't the skyline having greater exit speed. it ws the skylines greater acceleration. That CHicane was put there to slow down the drivers. Skyline went off track NSX was in the right line and the skyline didn't yeald enough. I hope he got penalized for that.LOL!!

  • i remember watching this race a couple years back. this was in 2003, skyline's final race in (then) JGTC. yah he actually went on to win the race, but seriously the driver, Ide, has some issues

  • @whisperingprinze82

I was about to say the same thiong!Nice one

  • The driver in the GT-R lost the track at 1:53

I get confused at that bit on Gran Turismo 4 now and again, makes me check which version of the track it is.

  • my assumption is he got nervous from the pressure behind and broke too late.

  • The GTR is nice but the driver in the GTR is bad!!!!

    He´s an idiot!!

    Nice battle!

  • So MDXSTER, Ide didn't get a penalty for that ballet spin on Michigami? I didn't think he would.

  • I guess no he didn't get a penalty , this kind of tricks on track are looked as something very common there in Super GT.

Maybe we are so much used to see penalty drops on pilots who makes movements on their rivals and touches them, like in F1 .

  • that was balls hanging on around the outside of the long sweeper!

    the skylines tyres were gooooooooonnnnnneeeee!!!!!

he was all over the place!

  • shit like this happens all the time in S-GT, it was the last 3 laps or so anyway.

If you wanna see something really bad, look at the first 20 seconds of 08 season rd.1...

  • i love gtr...but who ever was driving the gtr........YOU SUUUUCK

  • that was some pretty fked up driving by the skyliner. the nsx was all over him like nothin... but good race.

  • the skyline is my favorite car hands down. if you cant beat the other driver then fuck over his car!!! go Godzilla!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Sir Skyline........... you fail

  • if i cant win nobody wins.... BIATCH

  • In fact, and if you search for the results of this race, the Calsonic GT-R won.

And that Dome NSX got 2nd place.

So, damn you Yuji Ide !!

  • somebody tell me the GTR driver got penalized for that? holding the NSX up the whole time then blows the chicane, pulls in line like nothing happened and crams his nose up in there and spins the guy.

  • great dicing, too bad Yuji Ide took out Ryo

  • props to the skyline racer. It's impossible to pass on this track unless you give him a love tap.

  • kewl, Takata Dome NSX vs. Calsonic sky, i was laughing when that calsonic fell that cork screw at the very end of the map that was hilarius!! it's okay lol!

  • damn that calsonic driver did him wrong

  • WOW dick move by the calsonic driver.

  • wen they came to CA, you can tell they drive dirty

  • the nsx was hunting him down but it looked to me like the gt-r's tires were losing their grip it was a brawl though until the contact but i have one question in motorsports when you accidently go off course arnt you supposed to concied your spot or do they just add penalty time?

  • in JGTC, the NSX is Naturally Aspirated. That proves that NA cars can keep up with Turbo Charged cars, and plus, NO LAG like that Calsonic Skyline..

  • jgtc cars do not have turbo lag :B

but ok, this nsx is my favorite super gt car, so...

  • even though it's Twin Turbo, i think they still do :D

  • Oh yes.... Sazuka.

Jap Stock Car racing kicks NASCARS ass

  • hell yeah!

  • @FourG63 I agree man.

  • i was not surprised to see that

  • why is the steering wheel on the British side?

  • b/c that's how it is in japan

  • thnks

  • coz Japanese vcars are on the right-hand side, the CORRECT side

  • Well the Germans, the inventors of the automobile, put it on the left, so technically that's the correct side.

  • No the correct side is whatever works for what side of the road they drive on. The best idea would be to sit in the middle.

  • If you look the nsx was lose before the gtr even got close i dont think the gtr was at fault he tried to slow himself but couldnt prevent it...the nsx ran wide in the corner and got loose..JGTC is the the best racing series in the world in my opinion..

  • hahaha what an asshole! first he cuts the track, then he clips the nsx...

  • When the Skyline clipped the NSX at the end I was like "Oh you dirty c*nt"......like I said it without speaking....lol...I love this shit...

  • The Suzuka race last for 1000miles

  • interesting yet obvious...youll notice the nsx has more linear power all throught out the powerband and a much more precise, tight, and stable suspension while the gtr has a rough ride with quite a bit of instabilty and oversteer and the engine seems to really more on the turbo(s) more than the engine power itself. Dare I say the musclecar of the race. lol. I love skylines no doubt, but that gtr has one choppy ride. And did he clip the nsx at the end? that was lame if so.

  • blah blah blah its all about car setup in jgtc not the cars

  • ava you got to remember, the nsx was drafting behind the skyline for most of the time, that might account for what looked like more linnear power...as for the rest, i agree with you, definetely the gtr has a suspension flaw, and its engine does seem to be aided by turbo lag*

  • i'd vote for the nsx got cliped by skyline.

  • how much can i get one of those steering wheels for?

  • That one cost about 20000 british pounds

  • idk about that, its not an f1 wheel

  • thats true but the JGTC GT500 class are some of the fastest road racing cars the are actually faster than all of the Le mans cars except the P1 class and that class is right under F1, so its believable that they'd cost that much

  • Champcars/indycars are fastest.

  • Wrong, little buddy. F1 has the quickest cars.

  • Well actually champ/indy cars are quicker in a straight line. I think they'll clip 380km/hr. However an F1 will shit all over it on a track :)

  • Top Speed = Le mans defintely

  • NO WAY, group c cars are easily the fastest cars that have ever graced the track, the sauber-mercedes (c9 is the name of the specific version i think) would hit 420km/hr on the back straight at the circuit de la sarthe (thats why they put the chicanes in to reduce the risks involved with passing and drafting at +400. )

  • who says it in Km?

  • Yeah that would have been pretty impressive to watch too. Le mans with chicanes seems pretty half assed, at the very least they could have put in a better series of corners.

  • wrong F1 quicker in a straight line when the down force is adjusted for the long straits. In fact champ/indy has old F1 technology and chassis.

  • NOT on full oval tracks

  • 420km/h khrisinfo, le mans definetely blows away indy

  • LOL LOL

  • Ide did not hit Michigami at 2:18. Michigami spun on his own. Similar to this video: watch?v=JnJZ9dvXYhA&feature=related . Looks like Jarno tapped him but they spun on their own.

  • Surely there was a little touch involved. What i gathered judging purely by this video is the NSX stepped out but then regained control, only to have a slight love tap from the skyline to send him in a spin.

  • WOW you guys are blind!

look close as a pro he didnt open the pot for him, he got hit in the rear bumper corner, LOOK 100000 times till you see he got hit! wow some one need glasses here...

BTW i dont know if its Motoyama but Michigami sure is better then Ide...

  • I really don't think Michigami would spin out all by himself

  • 2:18

  • you would think the japanese would have secured a better camera for this...

  • On boards are hands down the best view to watch racing...

  • Fuckin oath.

  • I think he meant the camera quality, not the position of the camera

    - And i agree

  • that skyline looked a little squirly at times

  • i think he lost grip

  • fucked tires, theyve been trough a lot of laps

  • Great Video!

  • Nice!

  • sick driving skillz.. do you know wich nsx those in car footage where from?

  • Ryo Michigami, Dome NSX in 2nd place.

Racing Yuji Ide, Hoshino Skyline GT-R in 1st place on lap 48 of 51.

2003 Suzuka GT 300km, last round of the 2003 JGTC Season.

Ide goes on to win, Michigami manages to recover from the contact to finish 2nd.

  • 道上に特攻するIDEw

  • you only use the clutch on the launch then you don't lift off the gas during shifting

  • can someone tell me about changing gear with a sequential. do you even need to use the clutch? or just lift of throttle? or neither?

  • That GT-R driver cut in the Casio triangle chicane :S

  • Ashtonishing NSX

  • Awesome.

  • Very nice.

  • alright, thats insane!

    HIGH RATING

  • can't believe Ide pushed him.

  • That sort of driving cost him his F1 Super License X)

  • SirVantes is right, the rest of you obiously couldnt see the R34 skylines counter steering.

  • You idiots clearly know nothing about JGTC. Ide's tires were totally fucked, that's why he was struggling around every corner. He wasn't trying to pass Michigami, he was taking a different line due to his tires, wasn't able to brake and had a slight tap on the rear of the NSX. Super Aguri last year was a horrible car, everyone knows that. Ide only looked so bad in it compared to Sato because Ide went straight from Formula Nippon to the hardest-to-drive car in F1, of course he struggled.

  • do u know when its coming back to te states

  • Bout time someone Told some of these people off. Yuji's car looked very tail happy in most corners, most notably at spoon. were those worn tires?

  • Ide was leading until Michigami passed him for the lead on lap 49 of 51.

Yuji Ide: "I was cautious about the pace because I knew the tires would lose grip during the last stage of the race.

I went straight at the chicane and Michigami overtook me.

But I recovered the lead when Michigami made a spin.

    I don't think I touched him.

He was running at the center of the track cautious of my position, and I was passing on the racing line."

Didn't Sato go straight from F3 to F1?

  • gd racing theres plenty of close calls in the sport gd driving by both the drivers

  • tha was a very good clean racing but the skyline went into li to hot under baking

  • yuji ide this is why you failed in f1...

  • That was a clean close racing accident, it can happen to anybody, he didn't do it on purpose. If you have never raced don't talk about what you don't know.

  • you have never raced.

  • lol ok.

  • hahahahah i'd expect more from a driver in the Calsonic Skyline, what a pussy. Then again, if i was driving something like that I'd probably kill myself easily. HONDA 4 LIFE

  • its the sound of the TM and DIF.

all the GT cars are bad ass cars, the Skyline driver he is such a weak ass fag, dirty, the NSX its litlle slower but great driving hes name is Ryo Magisomething i think, he is there ace driver, the GT-R driver hes a fag!!!!!

  • now this is a great race battle... without competition there wouldnt be any improvements...

  • that dude drivin the gtr is a cockgobbler. That was a shitty move he did to the nsx.

  • the skyline looked alittle unstable after that sharp corner

but that turbo on the nsx was just LOUD

    fricken crazy

  • That is not the turbo whining but the transmission.

  • LOL that whine you hear is NOT the turbo..hahah..it's the race spec straight cut gears from the transmission.

  • Good 'ole VQ30DETT power... :D

  • Good 'ole VQ30DETT power... :D

  • Yuji Ide was good at driving a JTGCcar but he is not good at racing a formula 1 car thank god his license got revoked.

  • the fag couldnt take that hes getting smoked, he had to do the usual trasshy stuff from NASCAR if i was the TAKATA NSX driver i would brake hes jaw!

  • The guy driving the calsonic skyline is an idiot!! You can see he cheated on cutting corner before entering the big straight. Took part in honda f1 and muck around with his incompetent driving.

  • In Gran Turismo 4, I got the Calsonic Skyline 2001, It's my favorite racecar. . .GO Calsonic, GO!!

  • bring this action to USA...nascar is too boring

  • Skyline driver must be penalty man dammm :(

  • that was a cheeky nudge from the skyline!

  • thought the skyline cheated there on the last turn before the NSX over-took him. He missed the turn and went straight ahead or maybe I am seeing things. But that was a nice battle between two top drivers.

  • Maybe it´s because the car needs to have really close gear ratios for such a complicated circuit as Suzuka

  • God that Calsonic Skyline is beautiful. Does anyone know why the NSX's transmission is so loud? It couldn't possibly use spur gears could it?

  • all jgtc cars that i know of use straight cut gears. that is why they are all so loud. that and having no sound deadening material doesn't help either.

  • Yup, the whine you hear is the race spec strait cut gears from the transmission.

  • kthnx.

  • and look whos out front

  • he should have given him room

  • The calsonic GT-R driver is way too impatient. Miss the braking point, bang on the tanaka nsx....

  • According to the video it's Yuji Ide driving the Skyline...and you wonder why he shunted the NSX off? Super Aguri saw sense!

  • I ain't sure about JGTC rules, but from my point of view, The calsonic driver was quite impatient to re-overtake the nsx. Perhaps the nsx should give room, but again, I ain't sure about the rules. Might seek help from some pro out there

  • He should have waited. Too much of a rush to take the position back and he tagged the rear of the NSX; sure he could have waited a couple more corners at least. It is endurance racing after all.

  • Yea, ya right. Well, pro drivers are also human being after all. M.Schumacher also made mistake sometimes, let alone JGTC drivers.

  • Definatly. I'm a Nick Heidfeld fan obviously, but just watch Schumacher block Nick in Australia 2005 (it's here somewhere). Thomas Biagi in the FIA GT's last year is another prime example. Too impaitent.

Shame because their both good drivers in their own right.

  • damn that calsonic r34 is fast.

  • oh my god, takata dome nsx, ::start crying:: watching that gtr from the back... ::starts drooling:: those tail lights are hypnotic.

  • i can just imagine you drooling and crying

  • i know chris, i know...
