I remember this commercial and wondering why they had pipe and cigar commercials when they banned cigarette commercials.

I remember a Yankees telecast when this commercial was being aired. Martin had a typical tirade against one of the umpires.....Scooter Rizzuto had a priceless quip: "Whoa, this looks like a Captain Black commercial!"

the reason there aren't any Billy Martin videos is the same reason he isn't in the Hall of Fame. there is a conspiracy as to keep him blackballed and unknown to future generations. You only hear about him once in a blue moon and it's always basically a stereotyped fighting scenario comparison. Read a book about him and tell me why he isn't in the Hall of Fame. By the way, Billy is from CA, just like Joe D. Westside.

@billyjoebutthed111 Joe Dimaggio had a friend in Billy Martin at the end of his career and for the rest of Billy's life and Mickey Mantle might say he owes his career to Billy. Rod Carew probably does. Rickey Henderson does. Don Mattingly does. He said so in his HOF speech. So many other players do whether they will admit it or not. What a lineage to baseball Billy Martin has. HOF him already. Don't blackball him. He is too great.

Not with a Peterson P stem...it makes it nice and cool. I love captain black myself...good, reliable, and it's a good everyday all around puff....sometimes I'll buts out some of my tobacconist's house blends when I'm feeling like something a little different, but good ol CB is my current favorite.

Wow! Finally, a video featuring snippets of a few of Billy Martin's famous tirades! There are many videos of other managers going crazy on YouTube, Lou Piniella for instance, but videos of Martin are so hard to find! If anyone out there has more videos of Billy Martin kicking dirt, and getting all up in the umpire's face, please post them!
