Wow! You actually found some late-90's mix material from Hot97? Wow, I thought I'd never hear that Hot97 era again. Definitely don't--or barely--hear it these days. Wow...the days when WQHT was still "HOT"--REAL FIRE! LONG before Flex (now, just Aston) became a terrible caricature of what he used to be. 1997 is around the time those "Double-Play weekends" started. Remember those? Wow.
I guess with the current cornball status of WQHT it's no surprise that me, a 29-year old African-American...
...male from BK listens to 1010 WINS & WCBS (YANKEES!!!!! 1998 World Champs!!!!!) about 3/4 of an average day, right? Nah, I guess it isn't. But don't get me twisted, I still dig those mix weekends. And I try to stay tuned in on the weekdays (and the occasional Saturday night mix; which of course is hard on the ears the majority of the time now). Because since I don't real those bum-ass magazines anymore, I like to know what's "good" in the urban music world. But it's just hard today, man. :-(
