I am becoming increasingly afraid of this man. I've been around bad people but the feeling I get from him is different and scares me more. At best he wishes to fight for and protect the classic image of America. At worst he is someone in power with his own agenda, waiting to use America for his own means. Either way he has a narrow-minded, rigid view of how America was and should be and will impose it own us.
Meaning that he has absolutely no human empathy, no capability to imagine another quality/way of life or life experiences. To use the colloquial; he can't put himself in another person's shoes, he is both unable and unwilling to do so and this makes him unsuited for leadership in a country as diverse as America. He dehumanizes them by calling them "illegals" when for the most part they are just searching for the American Dream, just like your ancestor or you yourself.

You really need to read the whole bible if you are going to get into a discussion about it. The ten commandments are all meant for us on a personal basis as we live our daily lives. It is not meant to condemn war or the death penalty. The ten commandments were given to Moses along with a rather lengthy list of offenses that were punishable by death. It seems the Huckabee camp is holding true to form and using every opportunity to attack, attack, attack. I love how one guy uses four (or more!) different addresses to attack people in an attempt to give the appearance of larger support.

So my questions to everyone who takes this strong of a positions on abortion is what are you prepared to do for the poor, the young, the drug addicts, the homeless, the rape victims and the woman it's life will endanger when they decide not to have an abortion. The problem with most (not all) conservatives is they care more about the child before it is born then after.
1. poor-adopt the child out...health risks of abortion may increase costs over the cost of adopting the child out.
2. the young- with the exception of rape, the young need to take responsibility of the pregnancy (thorugh adoption or other means)..
3. pregnancy from rape- aborting the child does not punish the perpetrator and only increases the damage done because of the high risk for the mother during the abortion.
We have concern for the mother. It is because of that we respect the mother's as well as the child's life. Surgical presedures can be put into effect that may result in the unintentional death of the child but makes an attempt to save both lives in cases of life threat to the mother.
Good answers. Very good answers actually, but not many politicians support making abortion illegal while pushing for more welfare for the young mothers, rehab instead of prison for mothers who are addicts or proper sex education in school. All those things have to come first before you make it illegal (in my opinion).
Sex education is not always the answer. A standard and value for life needs to be taught in holding a high value for human life. Most sex education promoters give all the facts of sex to individuals but do not enforce a value of responsibility or value for the lives affected. you see what I mean? I am not for putting the mothers in prison for abortion. I am in favor of charging those who perform abortions.
I think its sad. we know Dr. Paul has the support to win hands down, and he will pull in the greatest number of votes, but the powers that be will never let him have it. We still think we live in a country "for the people by the people".

It is not meant to condemn war or the death penalty. The ten commandments were given to Moses along with a rather lengthy list of offenses that were punishable by death. God also command Israel to go into the promised land and destroy the inhabitants. Not out of anger but out of righteousness and self preservation. We are fighting a war that must be fought. Whether you will admit it or not the vast majority of Muslims wish you and I dead. As a handful of them showed us on 9-11-2001.

So my questions to everyone who takes this strong of a positions on abortion is what are you prepared to do for the poor, the young, the drug addicts, the homeless, the rape victims and the woman it's life will endanger when they decide not to have an abortion. The problem with most (not all) conservatives is they care more about the child before it is born then after.

1. poor-adopt the child out...health risks of abortion may increase costs over the cost of adopting the child out.
2. the young- with the exception of rape, the young need to take responsibility of the pregnancy (thorugh adoption or other means)..
3. pregnancy from rape- aborting the child does not punish the perpetrator and only increases the damage done because of the high risk for the mother during the abortion.

Very good answers actually, but not many politicians support making abortion illegal while pushing for more welfare for the young mothers, rehab instead of prison for mothers who are addicts or proper sex education in school. All those things have to come first before you make it illegal (in my opinion).

Sex education is not always the answer. A standard and value for life needs to be taught in holding a high value for human life. Most sex education promoters give all the facts of sex to individuals but do not enforce a value of responsibility or value for the lives affected. you see what I mean? Thx. Huckabe has obviously competence as a leader, but It seems as he will be a bit soft on some important issues the coming years. That was very clear in the last debates. Politically he's the number 4 or 5 among the 5 candidates.

Ron Paul may have some conservative views, but he is by no means a conservative. He's a libertarian (and an inconsistent one at that)-- inserting ear marks in the budget and then voting against them, voting for the Afghan invasion, et al. What a hypocrite RP is on these (and other) views.

Ron Paul will unite this country behind his foreign policy of Non-intervention. We have 700 bases in 130 countries. It is the root cause of terrorism. In my Christian life we are taught that sin will not go away until you find the root cause and remove it from your life. The same applies in worldly matters and Ron Paul bybringing all the troops home, not just in Iraq will remove the root cause of terrorism.

for the billionth time, he did NOT WRITE THAT was a ghostwriter in his newsletter and he apologized for accidentally letting it go past his radar. It was a mistake, an accident - wow, one incident in his 30+ year political life in which he made a small minor mistake. I know a lot of these detractors are purposely citing this to Paul, even though they KNOW he didn't write it or have read about it. They are guilty liars.

they say, "well, didn't he not fire the guy who wrote that", or "how could he make such a big error". Yet, if that is the matter of contention, why continue to attribute that quote to Ron Paul himself, if you know he didn't write it. Thats either misplaced contention or an outright lie.
