I take the upside down flag to represent a condition of extreme distress; that our nation is now infested with a criminal elite that have reversed or _inverted_ everything that America is meant to stand for; similar to a photographic negative. I view displaying the flag this way as the act of a true patriot, accurately describing the existing situation! Burning the flag would be the act of a cowardly traitor, who symbolically denounces & destroys everything that our flag is meant to represent.
