"Messiah" is one of the most beautiful works of religious music ever written, and this chorus is the most uplifting part of it. Fun facts:

The Hallelujah Chorus is actually in the -easter- segment of Handel's Messiah

Given the times of year that ancient rome handled it's censuses, the historical Jesus of Nazareth would have most likely been born around... September or so.

The Early church syncretized christmas and easter to get the local pagans to believe their traditional beliefs were christian in nature (seriously, ask yourself what bunnies and eggs have to do with a messianic figure)

Singing this at the Orlando airport was such a great joy!!! Seeing the surprised and delighted faces of the tired and rushed travelers made it worth every moment!!! People joined in and at the end they clapped, whistled and cheered! Many people said it made them cry, and they now they feel the Christmas spirit has truly started! What I love about this is that in the first pan of the camera everyone is confused, and you can tell who is part of the flash mob (the only ones singing)... THEN as the song goes on, people start joining in, and you can tell who has choir training - anyone who has spent any time in a choir has done this song - they're all singing their parts they know .... it's awesome!!

As believers, we are to be "radically saved" and should never be afraid to stand for Him.
