pd is right. as far as abo tools and methods go you are the bomb. no one can touch you hammer stone and bone percussion work. awsome job marty your a real insperation!
your the best knapper i ever seen I know one that has a big ego and is just kinda mean about it if your name comes up and he uses slabs and copper tools your the best
Is this punch moose or deer? What is the length and diameter? I am making an ABO toolkit and it is too expensive for trial and error. I did get a couple of warthog tusks. They work great. Thanks as always.
cool. It's a white tail deer punch probably about 8" long and fairly good mass but I don't know exact diameter. any diameter will work, though I usually make them shorter if they are on the skinny side.
I don't know why more knappers haven't made youtube videos. I'll do one sometime on making simple arrow points becuase I know many people just want to do this kind of knapping.
I let my friends who make arrow points pick through them, or take buckets. I usually only save the larger spalls. I do use flakes for small tasks regularly like cutting, but I knap way more than I need.
how do you spell mike's last name?

Do you think one of your friends would make a video like yours? I haven't had the chance to see arrowhead manufacture in such great detail.
